Do 343 actually give a s**t?

Personally, the more and more time goes on, i’m solidifying my opinion that 343 is just a large team of -Yoink!- chimps with a human PR department. Progressively they’ve just been getting worse at making video games and honestly i’m convinced whichever people make the executive decisions, just can’t bloody read or don’t look for feedback. Over the past 5 years or so, every dedicated Halo fan, every worthwhile player, has been telling 343 consistently exactly what they need to do to make the perfect Halo game, but they constantly ignore that. Blows with Halo 5 now since they only audience they have listened to are the damn eSports crowd, which means they’ve developed a tedious cluster f*** of try hards and micro transactions.
I’m just wondering if they’re actually going to get their -Yoink- together and what other people think on the matter? I’d really just love MS to give Halo to another dev team.

*Does 343 actually give a care?

Not “do”

Have you seen the recent updates? It’s obvious they’re listening to everyone. Micro Transactions, while I’m not happy about them, have their pros and cons. The only thing that I personally found dis-satisfactory with Halo 5 is the campaign. (No, it’s not just because we didn’t play as MC that much [though that is an issue in a main halo game…])

While I understand the frustration and agree to a degree, we shouldn’t have to resort to name calling and hostility to make Halo a good game once again.

The first sentence is just gonna get this thread locked before any actual discussion happens.

343I does listen to community requests from time to time. Yet they fail to deliver on the most basic of things. So I do lean somewhat towards “no, they don’t care”.

well, I think they do care, for their first real halo game it is good, they have definitely made the game better in alot of ways. There are a few things though that do need to be seriously addressed. But most of the can be summed up as, more playlists, better ui, add the missing campaign levels that were obviously taken out for better pacing and story telling. I know alot of people are choked at the content, lack of splitscreen, campaign and ui. But the game is 100% better than it was at launch. And name calling isn’t really appropriate. Use a metaphor or simile next time.

Its so stupid sometimes. I love halo 5 and the new abilities. I think it was a massive step up from halo 4 but, they failed so hard on so many little things.
For instance why can’t you see other peoples armor in the lobby?Yes it’s small but my friends and I always enjoyed looking at other peoples armor.
Why is it you have to use reqs to get 99% of the armor? I understand the fact they want to sell reqs but they should’ve made more to unlock. I remember in halo 3 the hyabusa armor was unique and when you seen someone with it you knew they was dedicated enough to get all the skulls.
Or why is it that infection isn’t in the game or that BTB only has 5 maps and with -Yoink- game modes even though there’s been so many forge remakes of great maps?

i feel like if they took me into there office I could have an easy update out in a week and make everything a lot better and closer to what we expect from halo.

“We want Ball Gametypes!” -Gives Ball Gametypes
“We want SPNKR Rocket!” -Gives SPNKR Rocket with upgraded variants.
“We want CE Magnum!” -Gives CE Magnum
“We want PVE Warzone!” -Announces PVE Firefight

“Do 343 actually care?”

This is why.

Wow, they listen to us. They are even giving us Firefight, which I never expected.

Yeah and it’s taken months to get those features. This is crap that should’ve been in day one. Likely the only reason they were added is because they got such a terrible backlash from the launch, and H5 is still missing masses of fantastic content from previous Halo games that just didn’t need to be removed.

First off, nothing says that SPNKR, Ce Magnum, and Firefight had to be there in Day One.

Secondly, this wasn’t about whether they should be there in day one or missing content, the point is 343i was listening and adding that content, otherwise they would have just left it the way it was at launch.

These should’ve been in from day one. Why do you encourage devs to release incomplete and/or rushed games? Generally curious.

In all honesty, they should’ve waited another year before release.

Also to your above comment as well, people have been requesting things since they announced the game at E3… and yet, they aren’t there and still aren’t there to date. They shouldn’t have to wait until the game is released to add content based on feedback, that’s just silly.

As I said before, nothing says that SPNKR, Ce Magnum, or Firefight had to be there in Day One.

The backlash that 343i would get for delaying Halo 5 would be even greater than what they were getting since launch. Especially with MCC with three feet in the grave at the time.
