DNFs counting as defeats.

Hello everyone.

I was recently playing on Darkstar and my two-year old nephew accidentally pulled the network cables leading to me leaving the game. However, when I checked my service record, I noticed that the DNF had been replaced with defeat on Waypoint, which was not the case for DNFs previously. Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks.

Yep, every quit still counts as a finish.

If you quit in arena, it counts as a Qualification point. So people stop boosting win/loss. Best thing imho, every FPS does it. Halo finally caught up and did the same.

Actually, if I could not finish a game before, it would simply say DNF on Waypoint. However, this mechanism is new and in my opinion, it should not punish players who get kicked accidentally.

I thought there was a thing missing in the stats from dnf games like like K/D stats or W/L stats

Sweet im happy they implemented it as well I hadn’t noticed. I know people will say they will still quit anyways which may be true but at least their record will show it.

That would be manipulated in many ways though. What if I “pulled the plug” when I’m playing bad? They can’t tell (not always anyways) when something is intentional or not. I’m perfectly ok where it’s at. DNF is still DNF in my book regardless if it’s due to accidental kicks.
