DNFs count toward Qualifying Matches

According to both Halo 5 in-game and Waypoint, I have completed 3 games of Slayer. I know for a fact I have only completed 2 full games of Slayer; the third game I lagged out of. However, apparently that game that I lagged out of still counts towards my qualifying matches. This is broken. (I also know that the team I was on was down two players, and still lost only 49-50. Kudos to them.)

I get that this weird system was probably implemented to deter quitting, but actual disconnects make it really broken.

And nobody is concerned about this? Huh.

It seems like a necessary thing. Quits should count as losses, whether that is do to you quitting or bad internet doesn’t matter.

It’s not broken. It was intentionally changed because people were dashboarding out of matches to falsify their placements if they were trying to place high or really low.

Just because no one has responded in 36 minutes doesn’t mean people don’t care or aren’t concerned.

Please don’t bump threads.

Yup, and I’m glad they did.

All of you quitters hoping to get Onyx or at least Diamond because you didn’t do good that game deserve the KDA and placement they deserve.
It also counts as a quit now too. I got tired of playing games where I’d see an enemy with like 600 wins and 0 losses, because they drop out of every match they’re getting handed to. Other franchises count it, and time Halo started to as well.

Before you give me crap, Connection Lost is still quitting, you left the game.

Ok, I was with you until that last bit. Why should we be blamed for poor servers?

As a casual player who only ranks to get a REQ pack, not sure whether to hate or love this. I dashboard when I’m given the same map as last match, because if there’s one thing I hate it’s getting an awful map like Truth and it’s wonderful spawns three times in a row. I guess I’ll finish sooner then?

I’m pretty certain there is a timer on this for the qualifying matches. That or the system just knows when their server has dropped you vs your ISP just dropped you. Ive played qualifiers before, been dropped out of them and not have them count towards matches to qualify.

Everyone is concerned, just know they won’t do anything. You are not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd person to bring this up. Where are the monitors to tell us they are working on it? No where, where is 343 to address the problem, and let us know they are working on it? No where.

If you ONLY rank to get a req pack why are you quitting and spoiling games for others on your team? Selfish that’s why.

I hate that the internet protects people like you, now.

I think this is a problem as well, OP. I have great internet running at 45mbps, I don’t use wifi, I have an Ethernet cable plugged in, and I still lose connection to the servers sometimes. It is Rare that I ever lag out but unfortunately it still happens sometimes, and I don’t think it’s on my end, I believe their server crashes and EVERYONE lags out.

and if it’s not that there’s at least one guy in the majority of games I play who is almost invincible because he is lagging around everywhere. When this happens in qualifying matches it is infuriating.

Well, I only get ranked in FFA. I don’t play the team games as trying to do good with randoms is like trying to get Brian Reed to write a good story
It isn’t happening

Why? Not a fan of having people who don’t like playing Truth 3x in a row? (It’s happened. It was awful.)
