DNF Question

Disclaimer: I almost never quit a game - even if it goes 1v4 - I usually try to bunker down and see if I can do any damage by myself.

However, yesterday I read a forum post that said if two of your teammates quit, you can quit without penalty. So, naturally, two of my teammates dropped out on one of my first few games of SWAT this morning. Given that I had to be at work and didn’t have a lot of time for a long drawn out game, I decided to test that theory. I didn’t think that I dropped rank on the game screen, but when I logged on waypoint, I noticed that I did indeed drop a rank.

Most likely, I’ll just never DNF again, but I was curious if that theory really is accurate or not.

Cheers.

What’s your question? Or, are you just clarifying this for others?

it’s not something ive seen any 343 posts state. i think you were the test mule in that dropping is never ok.

No its not I had a group of 4 people leave warzone before and honestly for good reason so I left with them, first time I did that in weeks and I got like a 10 minute ban.

Heres another DNF question…

Background info:
I dont quit games (feel free to check my record) however I do often experience internet problems and my connection dropped in my last 2 games. I’ve just spent the last hour or so speaking with my ISP to resolve this ongoing issue however if I play again today then its likely that I’ll get the ban hammer drop on me. This happened to me in December and I dont want to get banned again.

So heres the question…

How many times per day am I allowed to DNF (due to internet dropping) before I get banned? and how long will I be banned for if I get disconnected again?

Nah. There was a thread on people who tea bagged after killing a 1v4 opponent, and a good number of members (on that thread) sounded positive that you could drop without penalty. Was really just curious if 343 had made any official announcement on this.

Pretty much. Can’t believe something that I read on the internets was most likely inaccurate.
