DMR...

I don’t see how people can tell me that when I out BR someone using the DMR it just means I got lucky, or that the player using the DMR wasn’t skilled enough to kill me or I killed him by surprise, this doesn’t make sense to what people claim the DMR to be some sort of Ultimate Killing Machine that anyone can use easily, if so then every time I encounter a DMR user wether he is skilled or not shouldn’t he kill me every time. That would validate the DMR being OP but that isn’t the case especially not from my POV, I’ve killed many DMR users with a BR at Mid/Close Range, I’ve killed them with AR’s and Sup’s at Close range easily, I’ve even out gun’d a few DMR users with the Primary fire of the LR a few times. I’d Like to say I try to be as accurate as I can. I really think people just are exaggerating on how the DMR is supposedly Superior to the other rifles, it might be a bit better I’ll give you that, and the magnetism is bit excessive which can get an easy fix and tweaked to be not as excessive.

I also rarely see a valid analysis of all the rifles people only see to compare the BR and DMR as if they are the only weapons that matter, it just seems that people just really want the BR on top again, Instead of the DMR.

I’d like to see a valid respectful non bias analysis.

I think all unsc guns need a bullet magnetism nerf, but the dmr has every advantage, if you beat them you outplayed them, doesn’t mean they are unskilled, maybe you got first shot, maybe they missed one, maybe they slipped up, but if they see you at the same time and don’t miss the first shot your done, at almost any range

All while every other gun in the game is subject to niche ranges and optimal positions or situations, this one walks right into those situations without losing its edge. Can’t approach it to get closer, good luck getting away, it’s way too versatile as is equally at home shooting targets from 5 feet away as it is sniping

OP, Gonna start a new DMR thread everytime someone has another opinion to you?

Actually I made this thread just so people that can respectfully reply with a valid analysis that I can understand why “They” Believe the DMR is OP.

I don’t really care if someone criticizes me just because I disagree with them about the DMR but most of the time the posts are not an analysis, or valid it is just the same argument over and over.

Also this is that first thread I ever started about the DMR so I don’t know where you are coming from with “Starting a another thread every time someone makes an opinion about me.”

Can you also be on topic and not post anything that really isn’t constructive or relevant to my question/request.

The DMR is better than the BR in most situations, here’s why.

  1. Faster RoF despite being a long range weapon.
  2. marginally more bullet magnetism than the BR.
  3. Range advantage (as it’s supposed to have).
  4. Entire BR burst (3 bullets) despite being the same calibre bullets as the DMR do the same damage as 1 DMR bullet.
  5. You have 2.8 kills in a clip of a DMR you only hve 2.4 kills in a clip with the BR
  6. DMR is significantly better at damaging vehicles than all other precision weapons.
  7. The only 3 advantages the BR has over the DMR are the slowness the enemy experiences due to the effects of the BR’s suppression, the ability for the bullets to bleed through and the superiority it has in Swat.
  8. The BR has annoyingly detrimental aim assist (when an enemy passes over the enemy your shooting the aim assist of the BR moves you to the passing enemy.)

The only other reason why people with other rifles beat the DMR wielders quite often are because the DMR is a crutch weapon, most people use it and clearly have less skill than other precision rifle users if they used any other rifle they would perform worse than they would if they had a DMR. And the element of surprise (getting the 1st shot or burst into someone.)

Dude there are 6 DMR threads on the first page alone of this forum section, all filled with opinion, all your making is spam!

Sorry for having to correct you, but the BR actually doesn’t feature the same caliber the DMR uses. While it would be logical to conclude, that it has to use weaker projectiles, the opposite is the case: the BR actually uses Experimental rounds that are supposed to deal a much higher amount of potential damage than the DMR bullets, shot per shot. Plus the DMR’s rounds were engineered in the late 20th century while the BR ammunition has its origin only in the 26th century…

If interested, see my post on this thread, I made an in-detail-analysis of the UNSC rifle’s shooting specifications as given in the official Waypoint descriptions.

^ thats even worse then, the DMR is even more OP with no explanation as to why.
