DMR vs. BR which one wins

Im going to go with the DMR. It is more accurate.

battle rifle.

DMR doesn’t feel right.

Which BR? If you literally mean which weapon wins head to head, DMR probably beats the Halo 3 BR, but loses to Halo 2’s.

> Im going to go with the DMR. It is more accurate.

Yeah, it’s more accurate on the first and second shot. After that it is a crap shoot.

By the way, I’m comparing the DMR to the Halo 3 bullet spread BR.

I think the DMR would be a fine weapon if it weren’t for bloom giving spammers free reign.

I think the BR is more iconic though.

The only thing the DMR has over the BR is a X3 scope, and better accuracy (discounting bloom) over the H3 BR.

I’d rather have ‘bullet spread’ then bloom. Bloom hurts the DMR’s accuracy pretty bad, especially if you have to spray to kill a guy with an Assault Rifle.

Spamming at close range with the DMR is actually OK, and only a bit of reset is typically needed to pull off the headshot on the AR rusher.

Where bloom sucks is mid-range, where it makes battles between precision weapons turn into dice rolls, based on how much accuracy each combatant is willing to gamble away for a faster firing rate.

Probably this.

Oh and Halo CE Pistol > All

Halo 2 BR

My friend is 1% Onyx and he told me that he literally never paced his shots, ever. He didn’t know you had to. He spammed his way to 1%. Ridiculous.

Guns do not covet your wealth, seek revenge or justify their actions with righteousness.
Fear not the weapon, but the man who wields it.

H2 BR

Thats deep mann!

The Halo 2 BR, it just felt right and fun to use.

The DMR would win the Halo 3 BR at long range for sure, but both would lose to the Halo 2 BR and the CE Pistol.

H2 BR, but it doesn’t matter. DMR was way before the BR and in the story, the BR is the better one, it’s the upgraded rifle. It would make no sense, none, for there to be a DMR in Halo 4, because it’s after Halo 3. The DMR was an early rifle for Reach.

I never pace my shots either and I have a competitive DMR k/d of 2.22.

My Halo 3 BR k/d is not even close to that btw.

… no …

pay attention to timeline, the BR was on Reach, just bungie chose to replace it with DMR for diffrent gameplay, i wouldnt mind having both in H4, DMR W/o Bloom = awesome ranged weapon.

Also the timeline diffrence between reach and H3 is a couple months to a year, not enough time to render a weapon useless IMO.

M6D pistol from CE.
Most powerful, and took most skill.

BR

I love this gun so much in Halo 3. It’s one of the main reasons I still play Halo 3 so much. The DMR feels watered down.

The DMR is the best rifle the game has ever seen! Brings back memories of the Pistol from Halo 1.

I’ve always liked semi-auto rifles much better than burst/auto guns in any game.

A semi-automatic like the Pistol/DMR should always be the utility weapon of the game.

The burst just feels like it helps you too much… Especially with headshots.
