The DMR ruins Halo 4 game because of it’s:
-excessive range
-fast kill time
-significant aim assist
I believe Halo 4 would be a much better experience with just the BR and Carbine. Cheers!

I disagree. Both the BR and Carbine are too weak and inaccurate for a Halo game.
I remember that long and slow kill time of the DMR, and how people would panic with it hoping to get a lucky headshot.
You have to admit, the H4 DMR has little in common with the Reach counterpart.

Yawn
The DMR is now a classic weapon for those who started out with Halo Reach or Halo 4. It has earned the same status as the BR for those who started out with Halo 3, for example.
Both now have a legit place in Halo moving forward. If one goes, so should the other. If one is to be a pick up weapon, so should the other. Both should be equal so far as access goes.
But, Reach hasn’t died.

Tell that to Halo 3.
OT: The DMR has a place in Halo now. Like it or not. Remember how Reach got rid of the BR, and how all the BR fans raged? Well, if Halo 5 gets rid of the DMR, then all the DMR fans will rage. It’ll be the same old history happening all over again; We don’t need that.
The DMR just needs to be balanced with the other weapons. There’s nothing overall wrong with it. It just needs to be balanced, and so far, that hasn’t been found yet.

The Covenant beg to differ.

I will and still do. Halo 3 was the worst of the original trilogy. It brought inaccuracy and randomness to the series.
If the DMR is a killing machine supre strong ect… why don’t you use it too? Kill fire with fire

Maybe Reach lived… We won’t know until Halo 5.

Maybe he isn’t good with it.

I like you. You’re consistent.

It’s alive in 2589. So, we’ve already known since Reach.

Bungie dedicated an entire gametype to the DMR called SWAT. So, I think the DMR belongs in Halo.

It is?!?

Please tell me you’re joking…
Both Halo 2 and Halo 3 had SWAT. Both those games had the BR. So Bungie actually dedicated that entire gametype to just the BR.

Magnetism ruins Halo 4. 343, nerf magnetism. It’s the reason H4 feels fast paced because it’s so easy to consistantly get minimum time to kill with the majority of weapons.

I’m making a point to the OP. The controversy in this thread is about the DMR ruining Halo. Right? So I’m pointing out that if it were such a bad gun, then why did Bungie dedicate a gametype to it.

Question:
How do you nerf magnetism?
