What’s the point of having other weapons when dmr is clearly the best starting weapon in the game. Anyone that says it takes skill to use is a noob like mo other. All you have to do is hit the body a few times and jump shot for the head. I don’t like the dmr I like the lr and br. I hate having to change my loadout just so I can stand a chance in hell.
If it’s not nerfed then I’ll probably stop playing. I don’t want to be forced to use the same gun for every situation. And you can say same old complainers but I really hope they nerf the dmr so I can laugh at you whine cuz your bad at halo
Probably a stupid question, but does it actually make a difference to enemy shields depending on where you shoot them? Like if comparing headshots vs shooting in the chest, will the shield deplete quicker with headshots? I say this because I always aim for the head, but people seem to be taking me down quicker by shooting me in the gut.
Magnum close range and BR close and sorta close-mid range can take down a DMR user. But yes, at mid and long range the DMR is king.
Sure, the BR can beat it close range, but that is only if the DMR user misses shots. The DMR can kill a BR user before the BR can fire four bursts, easy.
Learn your maps then. It’s not hard maneuver around the map to gain position. I run Carbine/Magnum/Mobility/Autosentry/Ammo. I hardly even touch the DMR anymore. At LONG distance DMR just about outshines every other gun. Position yourself correctly or get some focus fire on targets. Stop whining about something that can easily be countered.
DMR is OP. The truth. Fix needed ASAP 343!

Always shoot to the chest to break shields and then to the head. A bigger target till you break shields.

DMR has an advantage all around. Both the BR and DMR kills in 5 shots, yes. But for the BR to equate full damage all 3 rounds from the burst must connect to the target. All the while, DMR has the power of those 3 rounds with 1. So if you’re strafing and miss 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 rounds from the burst, you’re not getting the full damage out of the BR, while the DMR IS with just 1 round.
