So the DMR and the Assault Rifle are returning to Halo 4. According to Halo4follower. So now there are 2 UNSC marksmanship weapons, So might there be a possibility for 2 Different pistols or maybe even 2 different assault weapons? What do you think.
I don’t think there’ll be any other UNSC Rifles (except from the sniper rifle of course).
Assault Rifle - Fully-auto, close range.
Battle Rifle - 3-shot burst, medium range(?).
Designated Marksman Rifle - Semi-auto, long range(?).
That’s my guess on how it’ll work. There’s now a human rifle for each situation.
My guess is that the customisable loadouts (if they are in the game) will be similar to Gears of War’s, where you can choose out of 3 different rifles.
i haven’t heard that DMR is coming back, if it is please can someone send me a link to it, well i dont truust so much hal4follower cause the mayority of his videos are just of like, what we can expect from halo 4, not official announcements.

The DMR was confirmed in 343’s latest podcast and again on the forums later that day by a 343 employee. I’ll go find the link.

The Sparkcast is made by 343 and includes 343 employees such as Frank O’ Connor and Kiki Wolfkill. It is made by 343 and released on this site.

Probably going to be, more or less, a cosmetic difference.
I think that there is going to be more than 2 rifles. DMR, BR, carbine?, needle rifle?, forerunner rifle? Each rifle will have its own preferences and you will be able to customise loadouts in gametypes such as slayer DMRs or as it might be called Marksman Slayer.
Hope this doesn’t happen though, it makes the game really complicated and may make it unbalanced.

What’s really complicated about having one extra human rifle than we’ve always had?
In this case, it’s true. The DMR is returning. But in future, I wouldn’t rely on Halo4Follower for everything if I were you. As his name suggests, he follows up any information that is related to Halo 4, some of which could be false.

I try not to think of the DMR as another BR. It has more range than a BR, so it could easily squeeze into a gap that’s in between the BR and the Sniper Rifle. Sort of like how the SMG fits in between the Shotgun and the Assault Rifle. It’s not really more complicated, it’s just adding a new weapon type (well, newish).
I think the aversion to the DMR returning to Halo 4 is just based off of the dislike of Reach. We don’t really want to be reminded of that game.
I doubt it very much. I wouldn’t trust Halo4Follower one bit. All his assumptions are based on sheer thought with what he’s seen or heard. Not at all reliable info. Just wait until the game is near release or just even wait until release to figure out. I doubt with all the hate Reach and its stuff got that 343i would put the DMR, or anything from Reach in Halo 4.

As you are right about halo4follower being an idiot, it has been confirmed by 343 that the dmr is in the game.
