DMR, Req 6 is to high for barebones version

Title says it all, its a loadout weapon, req 6 is just to much for a barebones DMR in warzone

Does seem a bit high if that’s true, especially since the Battle Rifle is only REQ level three.

Its true I have it, hardly ever get to use it, req 6 vehicles are much more important to win a game than a single DMR so I hardly get to use it…

Again, disagree. The default DMR can cross map with ease, I absolutely destroy those with BRs and it makes me feel a little bad. With Warzone being so big if they made the DMR REQ any lower you’d end up with the same problems that Halo 4 had. No one would move, there would be zero map movement because of how quick the DMR picks off long range targets. Everyone would hide and pick each other off. Reachs DMR was ok because it was less accurate and had bloom. Halo 4 and 5s is too powerful and too accurate, trust me it’s far better off the way it is now.

Maybe i suck at the game but i can only scrape by to level 6. Its usually not until our team has 800 points do i get a chance to use it. I have multiple varients that require req level 8 and i think i hit it once in like my second ever match.

I go for those ai kills/assists and either the other team jacks the kill last second or one of my teammates lands that lethal final almighty bullet and i dont even get an assist for dumping my entire ammo reserve into it.

On that note, the Sentinel BR with the Kinetic Bolts is a bit too low. It should be a 6 as well, not a 4 like it currently is.

Its just OP in the right hands… 6 is fine, imo.

Pshhhahaa, WHAT?! A BR at 3 already seems low since it immediately turns the gameplay to medium long range, without giving the AR much time to play. And then the SMG is at 4; does the DMR, which completely changes the game to near sniper range, sound equivalent. My choice would be 5, but only because most of the improved loadout weapons I have are all 8 req, so I get nothing at 5, and two slightly different SMGs at 6. But in reality, 6 sounds fair enough, despite the fact that the weapon gives an enormous advantage to the team to roll it out first and even the base variant is hidden behind a rare unlock. But we’ll have to wait and see what the pace, flow, balance, and fun factor of Warzone feels like in a few months when just about everybody has a DMR or at least a long range BR variant. I guarantee things will feel much different.

Are you kidding me?! IT’S A FOUR?! lol, dude, what are they thinking… my standard -Yoink- BR with a bayonet is EIGHT! Same with my regular AR + bayonet. Such masterful logic!

Using your DMR doesn’t use up energy though; you can spawn with it and a 6 energy vehicle.

On Topic: I think it should be adjusted down to 5, but only because I think the variants of it are too high. I have a ‘laser sight’ DMR which is 8 energy. Now, ignoring the fact that the DMR basically can’t have it’s accuracy increased, 8 energy seems quite high for a loadout weapon, modified or not. That would make some sense for the Kinetic Bolts DMR (picked one up once, and it was bonkers), but idk… I feel like it should be base 5, laser and suppressor 6, long barrel 7, bayonet and kinetic bolts 8

It’ll take forever to get the damn Commendation for it.

The only map I’ve found it on in MP is Regret; but that map is WAY to small for it and it gets beat out by the pistol & Carbine due to the DMR’s slower rate of fire.

I loved the DMR in the beta, what did they do to it?

Apparently a Sentinel Battle Rifle with Kinetic Bolts is REQ level 4…

…so explain why a DMR base is 6 and any modifications is 8.

I’m not a dev bro, I don’t know their reasons haha. Although, it’s weird that the kinetic bolt BR would be 4, considering the ‘laser sight’ one is 5, and I would call the bolts a more powerful upgrade, functionally.

The DMR is definitely more powerful than the BR overall though, with its increased range and vehicle killing ability. That’s why I figured adjusting it to 5 would be fitting, since that puts it at the same level as an improved BR. The 4 cost kinetic bolts BR thing changes that assumption a bit though.

Why give dmr a long range hi to campers at level 4. Bad idea. I think the br should be higher as well. Some people just camp their base the whole game with shotgun and br… You know who you are…

Yeah because its so hard to get to req lvl 6… nah not really
Also the dmr is way better than the br kinetic bolt with zoom -Yoink- so its a reasonable req level 6 unlock.
You just gotta step up your game
