DMR please

I was happy to play this past weekends test mode with bots. I was happy with product released but my only gripe was the missing DMR. I have played all Halo games and when it was introduced in “Reach” I believe it felt great. Fell in love with it in fact after reach it made me dislike 3 round burst guns and lean towards guns like a scout rifle. Is there any possibility of adding the DMR to Infinite?

The DMR would work very well if critically needed changes were made to weapon sandbox. Especially the Commando, which is basically a fully automatic DMR.

I personally never liked the DMR or where it went in the sandbox. But since a lot of people likes it I’ve always had a “ok, bring it back then so everyone’s happy, I just won’t use it myself” kind of attitude to it.

Never liked the DMR however the Commando and I vibe.

I never liked the DMR, so if it doesn’t come in halo infinite, I don’t mind.

I believe there will be another long range weapon that will fill the DMR’s role and close the gap between the BR and sniper. Probably not the DMR or even a human weapon, but something similar that we’ll get an opportunity to play with during a BTB flight.

The BR it just a three shot DMR while the commando is a automatic DRM if the DMR was added to the game it wouldn’t see wide spread use because there would be better options that could dish out damage.

I really like the DMR. I think its the perfect weapon to have between the sniper and BR. getting kills with the BR at any decent range always felt like “luck” to me and that’s where the DMR fits in nicely. one of the only reasons I see to have recoil in halo was for the DMR and they’ve gone and taken it out, I think the BR is really going to suffer at medium to long range.

You’re crazy if you think people will pass up a DMR. Commando is def better for the short range, medium would be a toss up, but long range DMR would defiantly be superior. Personally I prefer it to the BR for just about any situation.

Would love to see it come back for Infinite.

Its most probably in the full game half the stuff were missing because its a test flight not everything was in it.

The DMR is great, I would love to see it again personally. 343 would somehow have to fit it between the Commando and the BR though.

If its brought back it has to be a mid to long range weapon. Played a lot of halo and Reach came out i liked the DMR still do. Years went by and thanks to the MCC I could play reach again and i got a new vibe from the game. Too many times are you pinned down and ya get beamed as soon as you make a break for it. With the MCC and playing 3 i did really miss the all out rampage the game has, very seldom your pinned down unlike in Reach. As much as i would like to see the DMR back for infinite it has to be balanced. Mid to long range weapon which means close combat it should be more harder to get a kill unlike in Reach it felt like an all round weapon - Close, mid and long range.its kinda dumb to have a weapon act like a sniper and be a shotgun too so you cant have it be a long range and also close up. Im not be any means putting the DMR down but Reach did balance the DMR with bloom and I dont want bloom in infinite.

Halo Infinite is a GaaS game, even if not in launch, those weapons will add into the sandbox in seasons.

I’ve always been a fan of the DMR! The Commando almost fills that roll if you fire single shot, but not quite. I would like to see the DMR in Infinite.

Please 343 industries bring back the dmr I love the dmr!!

Hell even the commando looks like a better DMR. I always thought the DMR sucked and was out of place, such a terrible Halo weapon.

Extreme weapon accuracy is already a huge issue in Infinite right now. The same problem Reach has with the DMR, is spread to even more of the weapon sandbox in Infinite. 343 needs to adress this by reducing weaoon accuracy across the board, not just one or two weapons. If they do this, the game will end up far better overall, and the DMR would slot in nicely as a long range weapon. 343 is so close with Infinite, all they have to do is make a few small changes that would increase player engagement. Being free to play isn’t enough to keep players and grow the user base in the long term. It needs to be as acessable and as addictive as Halo 3, and that means weapons need to be less accurate, so real world TTK is incresed.
