DMR or the new BR

The DMR and the BR have the same rate of fire and the same kill time. Only the BR you will have to land 15 bullets compared to the 5 for the DMR. Why they sped up the BR’s rate of fire to be exactly like the DMR I don’t know.

It would seam easier to use the DMR although I am a HUGE fan of the BR from H3.

The BR is hitscan i believe t preforms better then the DMR at close range. When i played at RTX and PAX the DMR seemed to lose aim assist. Basically it was harder to aim the closer you got to someone with the DMR.

I thought they sped up the BR firing rate AND slowed down the DMR’s firing rate. Also, the BR is more of a mid range weapon and the DMR is effective at long range. Plus the BR is hitscan so it’s better at mid range comabat and the DMR loses some of it’s aim assist at close range.

DMR = Long Range

BR = Mid range

Same kill times, different ranges.

Light-rifle, best of both worlds

Iam siding with the battle Rifle,DMR loses aiming,plus its only a long range weapon.
BR can be used from mid to long range.

oh I didn’t know that so does the BR’s shots scatter at long range i’m guessing.

Well anyway that might work but I still like the rate of fire of the BR in Halo 3 better and it seams like the BR’s rate of fire was sped up more than the DMR’s rate was slowed down.

Having the BR in the game is totally redundant, and I will only use it if I cannot unlock a DMR or Light Rifle sooner. The Halo 4 BR is nothing but a DMR with training wheels. It is a crutch for players who can’t aim as well. The DMR will still be a better all-around weapon compared to the BR simply due to its versatility at long range.
