What’s better?
Definitely the DMR. Much of the fighting you do with a burst/single shot weapon will be without the scope. The LR only shines when it’s scoped. Personally, though, I run the DMR and the suppressor as a secondary to have an all-purpose load-out.
In theory, the light rifles 4sk while zoomed should make it better. In practice, the DMR’s ROF and overall badassery make it trump the light rifle.
The DMR seems to outclass every other scoped combat rifle in the game- including the Battle Rifle. When ever I have a DMR and face off with a BR, I usually come out on top.

Also I don’t know if anyone noticed but the DMR for what ever the reason seems to hit more reliably than the Light Rifle.
It may be a bug but it seems like the bullet magnetism on the DMR is pretty high compared to every other burst/single shot weapon expect maybe the carbine.
Also note the carbine actually kills the fastest because of its rate of fire.
