DMR or Battle Rifle? I would definitely choose the DMR because of the damage and accuracy. Also, when submitting your answers, please use reason for your weapon, as vague answers are useless when discussing gameplay.
The battle rifle, in its current state, is mediocre. The DMR is still a decent choice, and has been one of my favourite weapons since Reach. You can pick off guys pretty easily, and unlike the battle rifle, doesn’t have so much recoil.
However, these two weapons are designed for different types of engagement. The BR is more comfortable at mid to shorter engagements than the DMR. The DMR is for longer engagements, which is why you find it less in arena and more in other modes. But using the DMR at close range can be more effective than people think, getting those shots off with the damage. The DMR, in my opinion, definitely outclasses the BR in most circumstances, with less recoil and more range. One of the only ways a BR could be better is if there’s enemies right in your face, the burst from the BR is probably more handy and the recoil wouldn’t matter at that range
The DMR outclassed the BR even before the BR was nerfed. Now that the BR is updated, I don’t even use it unless I’m in BTB

I picked up the DMR in REACH and it became my preferred weapon since. I enjoy single shot rather than burst, maybe a little faster rate of fire.
DMR. It’s actually a viable weapon that can contend with the magnum and cross-map people with no problem. I only wish it had the recon sight on more of the arena maps (e.g. Empire) as sometimes the normal scope is overkill and cuts down on field of view.
I love me some Halo 2 BR…that thing is beastly. When compared to other BR versions however, I have to go with DMR.
DMR. The battle rifle is definitely a decent weapon, dont get me wrong, but I’d prefer to conserve ammo, and have a Higher damage output with longer range
I personally think the BR is better just in a way I just work better with it I ain’t that great at DMR but still good.
I am going to guess you mean the H5BR so I definitely have to say the DMR. Just has a much better feel to it all around. I very rarely pick up H5BRs.
Yea the H5BR respect your opinion but yea it basically depends on what your better with and like using.

Depends on hat I am playing but currently I prefer the DMR over BR since they changed it.
I’ll have to the choose the Dmr for its range and Dmg, and as a swat player, The Dmr never seems to disappoint
I’d probably pick the BR even in its current state. I just never liked the feel of the DMR when I used it.
The BR is mathematically worse than the DMR and Magnum. No question which is better.
Everybody hates the poor Halo 5 BR but I can’t blame them too much, it’s just not the same with all the changes it went through. In a choice between DMR and Halo 2 Battle Rifle I’d choose Halo 2 Battle Rifle, no contest. But between the H5 BR and the DMR, I’d choose the DMR since it handles a lot better and the recoil isn’t insane. I still use the H5 BR when I can, and will still use it since I like the burst fire and mid-range capabilities, but the DMR just carries more ammo and does more long range damage, so it is the more efficient choice out of the two.

It depends on the situation you’re in, if your enemy is far a way then the dmr us your best bet. But if yur enemy is closer then you better go with the br (even if it is broken)
DMR, the plain H5 br is actually garbage. i use the magnum, and h2br for like 80% of the game
