And that does not necessarily mean that it needs to be nerfed. It can very well stay the same as other weapons get a buff.
But there is no way in hell any one can convince me the starter weapon balance is fine now, especially the DMR.
I agree very much. Right now the DMR is little OP, the Rate of fire need to be tune down a bit. That has been beating every other primary and secondary gun.
I agree 100 percent. There is either two ways 343i can fix it either lower the bullet damage or lower the rate of fire the DMR can do. Because right now, it looks less like a starting weapon and more like a weapon you should be getting from a ordinance drop.

Exactly. Same Kill time as a BR and longer range.

The DMR is not fine and don’t assume those inaccurate accusations are correct. Regardless of my weapon, the DMR is too effective and no where did I mention the use of the BR besides an example.

You make another good point. So far all the other guns are well balance well expect for the storm rifle. Right now the DMR acts more a like a (heavy power) combat rifle like a M6 and not like a M39.

If anything, Assault Rifles and other close range weapons need nerfed. Those are simply too strong.

There’s always going to be a weapon slightly more powerful than the others, and if they nerf the DMR, then the next powerful weapon will dominate, everyone will use that, and you lot will start complaining all over again. Nerfing it will solve nothing.

exactly, nerfing the DMR will only make another weapon king and we will start all over. The game is fine as is weapon balance wise

This. As it stands, the Assault Rifle is OP, more so than the DMR in my opinion. I don’t necessarily agree that the DMR is OP but if they slowed down its fire rate, I’d be fine with it.
The biggest thing I notice out of all starting weapons is the BR spread. It seems too great at the moment. If the bullet grouping was a tad tighter, it’d be perfect.
Other than that, I really have no complaints with the weapons and start with both BR and DMR seeing as they’re the most effective for me.
Maybe 343 will address this by having DMR free playlists.
Give people choices and the quantities of people playing each playlist will solve the debate.
I am so glad to see a thread for this. I thought I was the only one hating the DMR. I agree it needs something done to it. I think I little slower fir rate would still be effective for longer ranges but you would most likely lose close engagements. (as you should with a long range rifle)
