I can not find a single match anymore where 90% of the enemy team is not useing the dmr. All the dmr is spam the trigger to get a easy headshot because it has no recoil, the range of a sniper rifle,the best damage for starter primaries, and the bloom is almost zero.In reach people had no choice but to use it but in halo 4 there are 8 different primary weapons to choice from why must I play a certain way just to counter a team of dmr spammers?
You don’t have to play any way except the way you want. I know plenty of people that run LR and BR that still do good. People that whine about the DMR need to shut the -Yoink- up and play… people will -Yoink- about anything. How is having a reliable gun not fun. If you don’t want to use the DMR, don’t.
The gun doesn’t need nerfed and if 343i actually listens to you whiners I will lose a whole lot of respect for them. This DMR is how the Reach DMR should of been and it actually makes the game fun to have a reliable weapon that kills quickly.
The gun is a yoinking starter and it can take out a PHANTOM! It is hitscan and is way more accurate than a sniper.
I started game using nothing but DMR but have switched to BR and am having a blast, so think on that

Everyone used the Pistol in CE, Everyone used the BR in 2/3, Everyone used the DMR in Reach. Precision weapons are what the majority of players end up using because they are the most reliable weapons readily available to use. Stop whining about the DMR it’s fine. The Light Rifle/BR are great as well.
90% huh? Funny I can’t even begin to count how many games I’ve been DP’d by kids using the BR. I wouldn’t say the DMR is most used, it just happens to be what you run into the most. I on the other hand see the BR being used a -Yoink- ton.
Ok these threads need to stop ive taken people out with the magnum at a decent range when they were using a dmr (ran out of ammo for my dmr) so just stop

takes out all the vehicles faster than any other starter primary
has no recoil
Now the br
Can kill in 5 trigger pulls if all the bullets hit
bullets spread out at range
Takes typically 1 to 2 mags more to kill a vehicle than the dmr
Has recoil

You had no ability to change the loadouts in those games so I see no problem with the past one. I never said the others were bad I basically stated they are inferior to the dmr

agreed. My crew and I don’t even touch btb anymore because of the dmr. It’s always a bad idea to put an ultra long range accurate recoiless weapon in everyone’s hands. It doesn’t provide much motivation to move about the map.

difference in the BR and DMR is that you can’t really try to ping across the map with the br.
I’m assuming you play a lot of BTB, right? Yeah, the DMR kicks -Yoink-, at a range. If I get caught up close with it, I often find myself getting my -Yoink- kicked by a BR or Assault Rifle.

Assault rifle-Promethean vision-Unlimited sprint (theres no better thing for a nice assassination)

man chill out i use the dmr and get decked all the time by the br, especially close range. theres nothing wrong with it.

Also, it destroys all other primary weapons at all ranges ruining the balance the game was meant to have. Don’t forget that.
