Plain and simple. It is the most versatile gun in the game, now i’m not going to delve into specifics about kill times because with the current kill times of the rifles that is nearly irrelevant.
I remember hearing that to balance the DMR it was going to has less auto-aim than the BR, etc. which is does but not enough. The weapon is still way to easy to use at close range making it triumphant and more accurate against either BR Carbine or LR. And the insane range of the thing makes it that much more of a no brainer to pick, it’s the cross mapping close CQC rifle.
I believe if they nerfed how fast it shoots a bit or maybe even making it 6 shot would help a bit. That or give it less starting accuracy.
Generally I am not one to complain about this, but I really want to see a good mixture of the guns based of peoples preference of what they like, not just DMR because it is the best.
Dmr is not overpowered at all I use a carbine and kill most people who are using a dmr to say its overpowered is stupid its not the game is amazing how it is all we need is mode playlists
Yup, I don’t even touch any of the other rifles because the DMR is just too good. I thought this before going in to the game, and now after playing several hours I know for sure. I think the gun definitely needs a lower ROF, it’s just way too good at CQC. I hardly ever lose to a BR up close.
I disagree im using the br every game and haven’t been having any problems with the dmr stopping me. I even ran into a 1v1 DMR vs BR situation with nobody around and we killed each other at the same time without missing shots i think so i don’t see how its op.

sorry lol i find that the DMR isnt overpowered i mostly use a carbine and occasioonly the br but never find that im getting completly mauled by the dmr i find whoever gets first shot wines in 1v1 but i think that each gun has its positives dmr for range carbine close quarter and br mid range and also depends on your play stlye and how good you are
aside from my love for the light rifle, i have not really had any issues with any one weapon, every weapon seems to have it place, DMR is great at long range BR for mid and carbine and light rifle are somewhere in between the two.
I can’t believe people are saying it isn’t OP, lol. I use the gun and I know it’s overpowered. It can do everything, close, medium, and long range consistently and effectively. Once more people are familiarized with the game and get better you’re going to see almost everyone switch over to the DMR, then maybe you people will see just how powerful it is. I never lose up close to a BR, the less aim assist is negligible if you are semi competent at aiming.

Only reason some people are saying they are balanced is because the BR helps them get the headshot easier because of the burst, if you go against someone who is somewhat decent with the gun you will see it makes little difference, because it is easy to hit the close range headshot.

And I’m saying it’s not just the headshot you have to consider. With the BR every shot is easier to hit. Using the DMR takes more skill. You know, skill? That mythical thing competitive gamers are always screaming about.

I stick with the BR because it’s harder to get kills with and I feel it’s the more skillful gun because of it’s drawbacks. I’m doing really well with it.
DMR is a beast in this game but I never liked it in Reach so I’m not using it in 4.
The DMR is ten times easier to use lol. Any map with long lines of sight if I’m using a DMR and my opponent the BR he gets smoked. And I get smoked if it’s long range and hes got the DMR.
