DMR is OP >:(

Lolnope. Carbine is. I keep winning duels between people and got quite a few sprees with it.

Carbine is harder to use, not hitscan --if I remember correctly-- and has barely any range.

It isn’t OP, and the DMR is indeed OP.

Why does the longest-ranged loadout weapon also have some of the highest damage, ease of use and accuracy? Why is it hitscan?

Idiotic decision.

Carbine does take skill to use, but I wish people would quit saying the DMR is OP. It CAN be beaten in closer range combat with an BR or AR. I guess nobody bothers to consider that part.

It CAN also totally stomp those guns at close range because it kills people faster than either one you mentioned, it also has a faster reload. The vast majority of the time the DMR user will outgun the player with the BR and AR.

It’s hitscan because of the horror that was Halo 3’s issues, which a lot of people seem to forget these days. Remember the ridiculous host advantage? The huge amount of Aussies coming onto the forums saying none of their shots would not register? Even I’d have issues unless I played local Custom Games. I’d rather not have those problems back, thanks. As far as online goes, there will always be lag in some way shape or form, so hitscan is a must-have.

Other than that, the DMR could do with a small rate of fire decrease, nothing more otherwise it’ll become underpowered.
