A lot of people are saying the DMR is OP and demanding it be nerfed, and I would have to agree. The fire rate is ridiculously fast, and it has aim assist from blue/red base on Valhalla (Ragnarok for H4 bandwagoners) to the center mound. Its -Yoinking!- ridiculous that this rifle is better than the sniper and any other weapon. Anybody claiming its not OP clearly is abusing the gun and doesnt see the other side from the BR or Light Rifle perspective. The aim assist on the DMR is much too far, and pisses me off when I cant even have a chance with the sniper when a whole team of -Yoinks!- is spamming me cross map with the DMR. Pick up a light rifle if you want something more powerful than a DMR to spawn with.
i practically use dmr all time and, to be fair, i do believe that i could use a little decrease in rate of fire
I am definitely not trying to ruin the game. You have no idea how -Yoinked!- up it is when the gun is the only thing you use. The light rifle may be more “powerful,” but up against a DMR you will still lose. Also I forgot to mention the fact that when shot while scoped in the the DMR, there is barely ANY kick at all while the BR and Light Rifle jump high as -Yoink-. Its absolutely ridiculous. I am not trying to ruin the game, Im trying to make it better. When you see EVERY single person in every match of a game abusing a weapon, it needs change.

In my experience, the Light Rifle seems to have far less aim assist than the DMR even if it does kill faster when zoomed. Unzoomed though, it’s a joke compared to the other rifles. You’re relying on getting the first shot for a bit of time, or on your opponent missing.
I agree though that the DMR needs a nerf. If it’s to stay in it’s intended range, then it should not be allowed to shoot faster than the BR.

No i agree with this guy, Everygame you go to wether it’s on PC, Xbox or Ps3 you always get the moaner who can’t compete. if a gun is even SLIGHTLY OP they will winge and winge untill QQ tears get something done for them. It’s annoying -_- just play the dam game and stop trying to get stuff changed, if 343 think it is OP they will Nerf it and it wont be because of your post.

The problem with that is 343 intended every gun to be balanced and able to compete against eachother, and this is not happening. I’m not “bad” at the game, take a look at my service records for Halo 3, Reach, and 4 if you really think so. Im someone whos been playing halo for a long time, since Halo 1, and I think my argument is valid. I dont want to give in and contribute to the bull thats already happening with this gun, its obnoxious. The game is incredible, best halo yet by far i think, but it really irks me how much this gun is abused.
they made the dmr even better then reach, and nerfed the br because they DIDNT want the BR to be the OP overused weapon, but by doing that… the DMR is now the op overused weapon, with machine gun fire rate, and sniper capabilities, lol
The BR isnt op at all though. It wasnt in any other game, but when you match it up against the DMR in this game its no contest, and that sucks. The light rifle and BR are evenly matched, but the DMR is just limited, and it really sucks when the game gets ruined by a whole team spamming their dmrs
i hate how a light riffle loses to a dmr because of the recoil from getting shot. The dmr doesnt get as much as a light riffle therefore there is no counter to the dmr other than a dmr… nerf it somehow i think a firerate decrease is a good compromise.
I couldn’t agree more. Valhalla is unplayable because there are people killing you across the map with their OP BR and/or DMR. The AR does not stand a chance against the BR and DMR. All everyone uses is these two guns. If you ever try to use the AR, storm rifle, suppreser, etc. you are going to pick up no kills and be constantly dying from the over powered BR and DMR. It’s a shame that I cant even enjoy a little gameplay with my AR. I think if 343 takes the BR and DMR out of custom loadouts and place them as gun spawns on the maps things will be more balanced. This will force playes to pick automatic weapons for their load out making the game fun. This was why halo 3 was so great because everybody didn’t spawn with a BR in every single playlist. It’s like if every playlist is SWAT. All is I see is BR and DMRS and I’m killed instantly since I’m using the AR. 343, I am asking you please fix this problem.

I use the DMR I kill people just as much as they kill me with it, id say its about right all in all
The DMR is fine. People need to adapt and not rush mindlessly into other players sight lines.

The BR is however a little weak.
I don’t get it why we have 2 5sk weapon, if anything the BR should be 4sk, with a slower fire rate.
Also, maybe the Carbine should be 6sk.
This way we would have 4sk, 5sk, 6sk weapons. The 6sk weapon would be the fastest, but hardest to use, the 4sk weapon would be the easiest but slower to kill. And the 5sk would be something between both. =D
The DMR isn’t OP, its just the other precision weapons are imba

They should all be equal. otherwise you are forced to use a certain weapon.
Lol, this is hilarious. The BR is too easy to use, this game has too much Auto Aim, Bullet magnetism and large hitboxes but the BR tops it all. Up close it has way more auto aim than any of the other precision weapons.
