Im kind of new to halo 5, so I have an assault rifle, magnum, battle rifle,and smg right now. If i unlock the dmv is it available in logouts or do i have a limited amount with reqs like other weapons/vehicles, etc?
The dmr stays in your loadout just like the smg and the battle rifle ect.
The DMV will revoke your license for using logouts.
Jk it is a loadout weapon and a permanent unlock
the dmv isn’t available in logouts because the dmv is a place and a logout is a…logout. But yes the dmr is permanent lol

DMR is great, particularly on Noctus with its long sight lines and lack of cover
you can easily reach REQ level 9 within the first 30 seconds of the match and score 50+ kills

Unfortunately for you its seems to be random. I got 4 (3 rare and 1 legendary) and got all thru gold packs. But others have gotten them thru silver packs. I just realized this morning that there are 21 different variants too.
I have 2 skins for the dmr but no dmr to put it on
Yeah, I finally got mine in a Gold last week after buying silver after silver. Took quite a bit! I was in the late 50s SR wise

They are a permanent unlock just like all of the other loadout weapon variants.
However, they start at rare and go up to legendary so they are definitely harder to acquire than variants for all 4 other base weapons.
Make sure you are buying nothing but Silver packs until you have like 90%+ of ALL uncommon and rare unlocks from all categories because otherwise you will just be wasting Gold packs to unlock the same uncommons and rares but at twice the price.
The DMR unlocks last in Warzone games because of the Req Levels.
