You know, this is probably the simplest way to go about the DMR issue. If it were removed from loadouts, it wouldn’t have to be nerfed at all, which I suspect is preferable to nerfing it (for those who use it, that is). If they also put loadout weapons on the map like H3/R, or at least the DMR like that, it wouldn’t even be a nerf. Nothing more than a simple readjustment that would really touch the game up a bit (and it needs a hell of a lot of polish).
I definitely support this change, as it would balance the DMR without nerfing it, put weapons back on the map (which is nice and traditional), make larger maps more interesting and tactical and, I feel, improve the game quite a bit.
“The DMR is not as strong as you think, it has a very slow fire rate and heck, it even takes 5 shots to kill someone with it. I’m really considering testing out the Light Rifle cause yes, I have a 0.76 KDR and I’m done playing the good guy”.
The DMR outguns the BR without being much harder to use, along with having extreme long-range effectiveness. It shuts down Sniper Rifles and Battle Rifles, along with giving the automatics a damn good run or killing their users even well into THEIR particular CQC niche.
5 shots? Shots taken, damage done and RoF all come down to one thing: Time to Kill, and the DMR is quicker than the BR.
Doesn’t sound right. The Light Rifle is an interesting weapon to mention, because it’s well balanced: worst at CQC, best at long range.
Go ahead, use the Light Rifle. In fact, please, use it. It’s a well-balanced weapon with clear strengths that are appropriately strong. There’s nothing wrong with using that.
0.76 K/D? Ouch, but practice makes better.
“all of you just straight up suck!”
Oh how very eloquent of you. Well done. You really stuck it to… whoever you were talking to.
