Im at level 40 and have opened PILES of all types or reqs just wanting a dmr, even a standard one. It seems impossible. Then today to add insult I get an awesome skin for the dmr i dont have. Thanks for the low blow 343. All complaining aside, still loving halo 5, but has anyone else had issues capturing the mythical creature that is the dmr?
I’m only a level or two from 40 and I haven’t gotten a single one either. While my chances only increase with each Req pack that I open it still sucks.
It’s the only weapon I have left for the Loadout Mastery commendation.

Does anyone know what level req the dmr is? Seems like it must be ultra rare or legendary, granted ive picked up ultra rares, but not a simple dmr.

The standard DMR has a rarity of rare and the base version requires level 6 to use in warzone.
I wish I had a better DMR for myself. I have the long barrel DMR which requires level 8 to use. In the two weeks I have had the thing I have had one chance to use it and I only manged to get two kills with it in the last 2 minutes of the game. As for skins I have 3 of the 6 skins already.
Yeah, there are requisitions I’d like to acquire is well . Last when I got that I was really excited about was a new assassination. I know it’s not really particularly useful it’s only static but I’d like some more armor , and helmets of different types. And so far only have one weapon Skin. I would like different ones too. But because it’s all random aside from the modifier of the difference between bronze silver and gold packs who knows when I’ll get over time .
IM opposite of most, I could care less about armor and keep getting piles of it. I would rather just get plain weapons.
If your trying to get those rare weapons/vehicles try getting the more common stuff first so you have a higher chance in getting what you want.
The DMR is on the top of my want list, right up there next to my Scout Helmet… and Green Machine skins.
Thats the skin I have. Green machine, that looks sweet, but for a dmr I dont have. wish I could trade.

343 really needs to make the dmr a weapon to get more easily. It’s supposed to be a normal loadout weapon. But maybe the hard to get dmr is something that makes us keep playing the game.

I have played 120 games on Warzone and i am without the DMR also.
What really gets on my -Yoink!- is the amount of warthogs etc etc why is there a need for like 15 different variations of that vehicle… I buy silvers and i must say its getting right on my nerve just unlocking more crappy warthog type vehicles " oh wait this one has slightly better armor " sell sell sell…

It’s a level 6 req. in case no one has answered you yet.
I’m a level 37 and have gotten the DMR , but have yet to get any of the modded BR rifles. I think I have all the SMG modded ones. I think I would rather have the modded BR rifles, it seems some of them are 3 shot kill weapons.
I didn’t get a DMR til rank 67, then literally right after I got 4 others…its just like breaking the seal when drinking. once the valves open they just come at you.
I agree - the base model of the DMR shouldn’t be that hard to get. Making variations rarer is ok in my opinion, it’s more of a long time motivation thing but hiding a basic loadout weapon like that just doesn’t feel right. Hope this gets tweaked. I don’t mind the RNG in general but same as Bungie had to learn with Destiny - sometimes you need to tweak this a little to make it feel nicer to the players.
Suggestions would be:
- don’t give weapon skins if no weapon they can be applied to is being owned
- don’t give variations of a weapon as long as the base version is not being owned
- prioritize the base variation of a weapon if it’s not being owned at a certain level (e.g. 25) so people don’t wait on them forever
PS: I also agree that it’s not looking so nice when after everyone’s complaining that they get drowned in Mongeese that 6 new ones were added in the last update.
