Why is it so hard to get the DMR? It sucks that I’m at level 34 and I get scout warthog and other worthless items but not a simple loadout. Anyone know what pack I can get it in? 343 should just send us one or something.
You can get it in silver and gold for sure, I don’t know about bronze. getting one is ridiculous RNG though. I have 3 ( 6, 7, ad 8 REQ points ) and my brother who has finished the DMR loadout already doesn’t have one. I just spawned one and dropped it to him whenever I hit REQ level 6.
I got one through my warzone req pack just today, needless to say i was happy, but keep in mind they are rare or ultra rare so its hard if not impossible to get one from a silver but if you get the uncommon stuff cleared out through the silver packs its only a matter of time, no wasted req points on a gold pack just to get an uncommon item.
How good is it? I’ve been looking for it for ages but haven’t gotten one yet…
Well picked some up in warzone from fallen players and its not bad if you can get used to head shotting without zoom, since its rare to stay zoomed with how war zone works but does require more direct head shots than the BR.

In my opinion, one of the most -Yoink!-ing weapons you can ever hold.
It requires more skill then a BR and acts like a long-range Magnum (same shots to kill, fire rate) with a larger magazine. But it requires a level 6 REQ to use: same as the Sniper Rifle. This doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me though. The BR Longshot (basically a BR variant of the DMR only with partially worse accuracy at range) can be unlocked at REQ 3 same as a standard BR.

well my luck is a DMR skin lol but no goddam Dmr (btw the Dmr is a rare loadout weapon)

This is why I don’t really like RNG based reward systems for the most part.
If you can’t actively work towards a goal, and all you can do is ‘hope’ for the reward you want, it’s just more frustration then enjoyment.
You can’t equip what you want because RNG hasn’t blessed you.
You can’t look the way you want because RNG hasn’t blessed you.
Give me the good old days of Reach where I could pick and choose what I unlocked.
And give me Halo 4 where I could choose a loadout and not have to ‘earn’ my prefered standard armament each round (Warzone)

This is why as much as i want a DMR I would prefer a basic longshot (or sentinel) BR first as useful a lot earlier in the game.
The basic dmr is an uncommon, like the smg
I reckon they should just bump the basic guns down to commons and be done with it

The DMR is actually a Rare.
Got mine in a silver pack…
I got the Recon DMR from a gold pack a few days ago and the regular DMR from a silver yesterday. I just wish they were lower level, having them at levels 6 and 7 usually means I won’t see them till a team has scored 800 or more.

Blame the success of Destiny for this - I’ve never seen such a loyal hardcore gamer-base. Much of that loyalty appears to come from the RNG system and the desire to get that much-sought-after Exotic!

Only DMR I’ve found is a REQ 8 recoil variant of the base DMR.
