Norally I hate omg nerf threads, but this is truth. Playing big team on ragnarok is terrible… I don’t think the objective of the map is to have everyone hiding behind cover trying to snap shoot each other for 10 minutes while one guy runs around in a mech.

Not having even played the game, I can point out the flaw in that logic.
The BR in Halo 3 had a built-in spread that limited its effectiveness at long range and made it so you couldn’t perfectly get shots at long range all the time.
The DMR has no such limitation, and even has longer range than it did in Reach. Hence, creating an issue we didn’t see in Halo 3 BTB.
I guess people don’t realize that the DMR is made for exactly that type of combat. It’s a Medium/Long range weapon. I don’t really have this problem at all playing on Ragnarok.

Wow, I just wrote a huge response for you, but this forum decided to delete everything.
Case in point was you could not do that with the BR. There was a certain point where the BR was not effective at long range due to an aim assist cut off and a weaker scope. The DMR makes it where you cannot move, thus taking out any pacing, flow, or movement from the game. Majority of games, especially BTB turn into getting on the high ground and camping it with your DMR.
Not to mention the DMR outclasses the BR in medium range and sometimes close range.
Or maybe you could have wasted the time you’re using to complain right now to get better at the game, and not force 343i to nerf a gun because you can’t adapt to it?

From my experience with them I find them to be equal at middle range. The player with better aim will win regardless of what weapon is used. At short range BR’s seem to fair better.
BTB (Especially Ragnarok) is ruined by a handful of things.
Too many vehicles.
Easy access to power weapons. (Global & Personal Ordinance)
DMR. The BR is rendered completely useless in BTB, especially on Ragnarok. Which is disappointing since the BR is my favourite weapon in Halo.
Spawn Camping (I mean, camping at/near the base you 1st spawn in).
I don’t mind 1 person (Sniper) hiding at base, but everyone else has no excuse for it.
I say they make the BR a 4-shot again, that way it has a large advantage at close-range, but suffers inaccuracy at long-range. This will balance gun-play. Get rid of the bloody Mantis.
