The plasma pistol is the only true pro weapon because it takes constant accuracy and timing to kill somebody. Because the projectiles are slower than bullets, you have to read your opponent’s movements and predict where he or she will be and aim there. Whereas with bullets all you have to do is aim at the individual and shoot. Anybody can do that, even I can do that and I suck at all the halos.
Sure you can charge the plasma pistol and release a shot that takes down their shields, but that leaves you open for a few seconds and it depletes a lot of energy, and the charged shot it slower than normal shots. Even then, after you release the shot, there is a cooldown time.
The MLG playlist should just have plasma pistols, it is the only truly pro weapon.
