they all have great combat features. For example the BR has the three round burst, so you don’t have to be so accurate on a running target.
All of them have their advantages. You re right with the point, that the dmr is the best one for large maps cause of the reach advantage. But in close quarter areas i would prefer the battle rifle because of the higher shot frequency (:

TS = BR, BTB = DMR. That’s how I think of it.
BR has been my favorite since the beginning.
When zoomed in the LR is a badass weapon. However I’m always running low on ammo with the LR. Usually I stick with the BR except in BTB
I usually play BTB and TS. TS is BR and BTB is DMR. Unless you know how to conserve ammo and have perfect accuracy use LR.
DMR is the best for many people like me!

You could always use the Ammo Support upgrade, but there are other things that are better.
DMR is easier than LR but LR is stronger than DMR for Long Range shoot. And for Middle Range BR is the better.
The BR’s easier to use and harder to combat, I can say for expirience.
CC of course (: But of the options, I like the LR. Granted, I play BTB. In 4’s I’ll go CC / BR all day.
I like BR, because it is rapid fire, I like DMR because it is challenge for the head, and I like LR for the look.
I don’t want to be wishy washy like everybody else, but each has their own benefit. Personally I would say DMR, but here’s what I found out
DMR: Mid-range to Long Range. This has the 2nd best scope out of these rifles and it’s ideal/okay in a close range fight. This overall would be the most balanced weapon and one I would recommend.
Lightrifle: Long Range. This by far has the best scope. I use this as a sniping rifle and I love to use this on maps such as Ragnorak. The firing rate is the slowest out of these weapons, but it’s the most powerful. My weapon to compliment the sniping loadout I have with the Lightrifle is the DMR. This by far is the worst weapon to have in a close range fight
Battle Rifle: Close Range to Mid-Range. When it comes to range this is the worst of these weapon choices and the 2nd worst (Carbine being the worst). I found that this is good solely for small maps. In my experience I’ve found it’s large clip helpful in taking on multiple enemies and that on the battlefield this is the easiest weapon to find ammo for. Almost everybody’s packing a battle rifle. This is the best weapon for close range fights.
It all depends on your playing style as well as your game types. If you typically play 4 vs 4 then the battle rifle would be the best weapon for you to use. If you’re going to play 8 vs 8 then use the lightrifle or dmr. For 2 vs 2 use the Covenant Carbine. 2 vs 2 arenas don’t have large spaces so range won’t matter. The greatest thing about is its rate of fire. This is the fastest of all ranged weapons.

You forgot about the Carbine
i like the light rifle cause it can be a bust or one_shot_at_a_time gun, AND if you are zoomed in it does more damage then all the others but the damage is lowered while not zoomed in. my order of likes goes Light rifle, dmr, br, then carbine
