DMR Bloom or low rate of fire in halo 4

I understand that the dmr spamming was a problem in reach, mainly at close range. However the only thing that it had to compete with in reach was the needle rifle, and lets not forget that that might not have been a problem if they were both starting weapons.

In halo 4 the br shoots faster then it has ever before. Everyone can now start with different assault rifles.
These are variables that everyone does not think of when concluding that the bloom for the dmr would be a problem once again.

A lower rate of fire may also solve this problem, but i am concerned that it would not be lowered enough to prevent it from beating the br, due to the fact that it must be able to kill people out in the open before they sprint into cover.

I think the lowest that the rate of fire can go is to the same speed as a scoped light rifle. The major problem would be the dmr’s accuracy, so my third and final suggestion is adding bloom and a lower rate of fire to the dmr. Please share your thoughts and opinions.

All it needs is a fire rate equal to the BR and LR. The BR would become better at medium range because it has better auto-aim/bullet magnetism, and getting headshots is also easier with the burst.

Honestly, I thought it would be that way before Halo 4 launched.

Personally, I would seize this opportunity to buff the BR to become a 4-shot (with nerfed firerate) alongside the firerate nerf of the DMR. That would bring the weapons closer together without big changes to each in killtime, and give them distinct feels. But that’s just me.

@OP, another DMR thread? why didn’t you post in one of the other ones.

Oh silly me, you know all about those - since you started pretty much every other DMR thread for the last few days…

Yea, i have been going overboard with the threads but this is the last one because making them is not going to solve anything.

I’ma gonna thank you for that.

Just post in this one by ROUG3 - your thoughts are welcome, best we keep that one on page 1 of the forum, has alot of ideas and such.
