DMR and modders

We all don’t like modders, but with DMR being faster than the BR, I’m afraid that a lot of modders will use aimbot, which if you don’t know makes it so you never miss. So the DMR’s low aim assist will mean nothing to modders. Thoughts?

I have personally never seen an aimbot in use in any of my Halo games.

Deathcams will help alot if this happens to be an issue. Oh and op theres a difference between a “Modder” and a script kiddie or “Skiddie”

in 10 years of playing halo, i only saw 2 cheaters in-game. So i’m not worried about modders because i know there won’t be much of them

and that’s why we need bloom :3

Xbox live generally deals with hackers and modders really well. I don’t think this will be a significant problem, at least not in the long term.

> and that’s why we need bloom :3

That wouldn’t make a difference if the modder has activated an aimbot.

> I have personally never seen an aimbot in use in any of my Halo games.

This. Halo has always been run better in terms of modders than any other franchise (looking at you call of duty). But with a new company in the mix, we’ll see how they handle these things. Hopefully I’ll never run into aimbots.

Like that stopped them in Reach.

> I have personally never seen an aimbot in use in any of my Halo games.

This. They’re so rare I doubt it would be a problem, and they’re usually dealt with quickly.

It may of been rare, but think how much technology has increased for modders to gain advantage on gaming? It’d increase more and more.

Oh you haven’t seen an aimbot in any halo games yet? Let me show you one

Read my post again. I have PERSONALLY never seen an aimbot in use in any of the Halo games that I’VE played.

It doesnt work like that atleast on consoles, it has to be in the game code to begin with in order for a modder to edit it. With that said the only ones who get caught are the ones who play in matchmaking most real modders keep to themselves either offline or in private lobbies.

Those that get caught in matchmaking end up only hurting the modding community, which how do you think most Devs get started in their line of work.

You have now, and watch he turns the NR into a sniper.

It took about 3 years for modders to mod Halo 3 online. Then it took 2 weeks for modders to mod Halo: Reach online.

Most of the modders would do it offline or in private lobbies as you correctly said.

In any of HIS Halo games, as in, any games that he was a part of…

The fact that you can easily find a video of modders on Youtube doesn’t mean they aren’t extremely rare.

There was me thinking I explained well enough to Maxwell.

Can some people even read on here?

No, it doesnt take years to edit some parameters it just takes longer for it to be given to other sources. Halo 4 will have things tweaked within hours, it just takes longer until a jerk puts it on a public source.

Ayye.
