Just saying… These weapons are still overpowered…the DMR especially.

Well, for one there is the skill disparity between the two to consider.
Even so, that’s simply not true. The AR has a better killtime.
All of the automatics beat all of the precision weapon up close. They’re not OP.

As long as every single shot hits, which we know is impossible unless you’re within almost melee range. It makes the AR only useful for ambushes.
Bunch of reach fanboys, the AR used to MERK the BR at close range even when it was 4 shot.

It has like a 1.4 killtime and even if you miss a few bullets it’s still probably going to win and your enemy is going to miss as well.
Which, by the way, it’s very hard to miss in the AR’s effective range.
The BR is in no way OP. The BR preforms exactly the way it is suppose to, so I don’t even know how this could be a topic.

I use the BR exclusively and after weeks of Custom Game Slayer games, I can tell you that you are so wrong.
That my good sir, the Suppressor and AR kills the BR in Close Quarters.
Besides the BR IS a Close-Medium Ranged weapon.
Be happy that 343 already cut off the BRs nuts as it is, since it’s now a 5 shot with recoil. Verses Precise and non existant bloom for the DMR which is an upgrade.

The DMR beats the BR at every range are you kidding? The BR isn’t OP or everyone would be bashing it, but people bash the DMR NOT the BR. The BR is fine.
The BR is probably the most balanced weapon in the game and only excells at a very distinct range, the problem might be that the majority of the most skilled Halo 4 players favor that weapon so you can’t just run in straight line an expect a kill.
Compared to the DMR the BR is underpowered but however the BR itself is fine although i do miss the 4SK

Run those tests with the AR again, but use the DMR this time. The DMR is not better at all ranges; it loses to the LR at long range, and the automatics up close.
There was even a game I played earlier on 4SK settings where it only buffed the AR by 1 bullet. I was still consistently outshooting DMRs and Light Rifles.

All weapons feel more powerful due to their increased projectile speed/blast radius.
Anyways, the DMR isn’t that great across long distances, if used on a really large map. And the BR definitely isn’t great in most ranges.
I agree slightly with the DMR. Carbine and Lightrifle all the way. They bring much honor in combat.
Note: Personal Honor. Every other player would probably cross map you with the DMR then run to your corpse just to abuse your dead body or use it’s tremendous accuracy, firerate, reticule magnetism, and hitscan powers to kill you and then proceed to defile you…and theeeeen call you noob. shakes head
2nd Note: I don’t really have a big issue with the DMR anymore but I still feel it could use a bit of a tone down. Juuuuuust a smidget.
The only loadout rifle that needs to be nerfed somehow is the DMR. End of story.
OMG OP the BR IS UNDERPOWERED compared to the DMR and AR - the AR will kill in 1.7sec the best the BR can do with 5 clean shots the last being a headshot 1s 1.85sec. The DMR has a kill time effective across the map with its red-reticle range of 1.58sec AND has a longer range then the Light Rifle - the DMR is therefore stronger then the LR at long range but the LR can out gun the DMR at medium with a 4SK 1.4sec - but the LR gets murdered when unscoped.
The BR needs a buff, a 4SK medium range weapon with its current recoil would be perfect with its RoF adjusted to ensure that automatics at close range still had the advantage.
