Its been a while since I posted but out of the time I took away from gaming all three of the map packs have already been released not even 7 months after the release.
I have also checked out the forge island well more so pinnacles I guess.

but I was wondering whether there is any rumors about possible upcoming dates for any new dlc.
No rumors or official announcements as of now. Sorry.
Frankie said they have plans and are working on things to support Halo 4 after Castle so its a good bet we’ll get more DLC amongst other things at some point. He didn’t give any specifics though.
Nothing has announced yet so I would say just wait.

However, if there is, it better have three or four maps from prev. titles. I’m tired of the Halo 4 maps.
I doubt it. I noticed that in all three DLCs, players would swarm the playlists, but literally a day later, they all vacated the playlists. Why would 343 make more if nobody bothers to actually play the DLC map packs?
I think at some point they’re gonna have to make DLC necessary in matchmaking. Majestic and Castle definitely have the best maps in the game, and it’s just unfortunate that you don’t get to see them much outside of their respective playlists.
Probably not since the population is so low and less people buy the maps than who do, or so it seems.
343 should just make an overall DLC playlist. And if I had my way, the next DLC w e would get would be this fall available with the purchase of the Halo 2 remastered campaign.
Probably Spartan Ops Season 2 will be the DLC.

As is shown with Ragnarok and Shutout, remakes from past games most definitely do not work in Halo 4, unfortunately. It’s a shame, really, since I would have loved to have an updated version of Zanzibar/Last Resort, or Sidewinder/Avalanche.

If we were going to get any DLC in the future I would guess maybe one free map remake and then maybe 3 more maps with a spinoff game holiday season. I doubt the free DLC thing would happen but it would be cool. Either way Halo seems kinda dead at this point. I’m not excited about the game anymore. I’m kinda just waiting to see what is next for Halo. I was always looking forward to episodes of spops and dlc. Now I’m just playing Overrun on Judgment and some Injustice and I’m finding it hard to care about Halo 4 considering none of my friends bother with it. Maybe a nice free DLC map is what this game needs. While Forge Island was nice it isn’t the same as a legit dev designed mp map.
