dlc was a pretty good deal to me

Alot of people complain about how they didnt get enough for their money with the dlc. But if you bought the dlcs when they first came out you could of got into plenty of games with defiant or noble maps. Like if you bought the defiant maps pretty early you could of enjoyed them the whole summer with the 1000 other people in the playlist.

But I think what went wrong is that people that buy the dlc now barely even get to play the maps and if you do you have to play squad dlc with only about 200 people. Also the achievements are really hard to get if those maps never show up.

I liked how in halo 3 though bungie made it so that after a while you have to have the map packs to play most of the playlists. They made it so that the heroic map pack was free and cold storage so that everyone could download it and everyone could play those maps.

What I have learned from reach dlc is play the dlc as much as u can when it first comes out. So enjoy the anniversary maps before there isnt alot of people!

I’m just glad reach now has a squad slayer dlc playlist. There is usually enough people in that to get a ton of dlc matches.

I’ve rarely been able to play on the DLC maps outside of the DLC specific playlists. It’s a shame really, I’d have a blast if Tempest got into BTB.

One issue i’ve seen now is that Halo 3 was out long enough to convince Microsoft to approve on the map pack going free. Reach is only going to get two year of lifespan before Halo 4 releases. I sadly dont’ see the DLC going free and thus resulting in more DLC maps appearing in matchmaking.

I still haven’t bought any of the map packs, LoL. This is the first time in my history of playing Halo that I DON’T buy any DLC, Lol-Reach is on its way out and Halo 4 will soon arrive, LMFAO!
