Last week I got a credit ban because I tried to Boost some achievements with some idle controllers. I broke the rules and paid the penalty. That is fair.
Today, I got my thread shut down because I was asking to hook up with some people who needed the DLC achievements and I mentioned I have four controllers.
I see threads like this more and more often.
Why is that? Why would people risk the attention of moderators and the banhammer for the sake of achievements?
I have never boosted an achievement on XBOX live, yet I find it to be the only possible way to get the last 5 I need for Halo Reach. I am not proud of doing this but 343i has given us Halo fans no other option.
Also, if me and three idle controllers are playing Team Slayer with John Smith with three idle controllers we are not ruining the Live or Halo experience of anyone online. So don’t use that argument with me either.
The funny thing is, I am actually not boosting the achievements. I am boosting for an OPPORTUNITY to get these achievements.
That is the real achievement.
Halo 4 idea:
Un-freakin-achieveable…Actually get to play the DLC you spent money on.
That is truly the hardest achievement in a Halo game to date.

People I know who play work during the day, whereas I work at night. Customs are a no-go for me.
Also, can you even get the achievements in customs?
Besides that, why the heck should I have to online to a forum to play maps that I bought on Live? What the heck. They promote the maps as an expansion to their game that you can play on XBOX Live yet the odds of playing them are so slim…WTF!
I know where you are coming from, it can be very frustrating since everyone in the game needs the DLC so that rarely happens. But, cheating is cheating and that is basically what you would be doing if using 4 controllers they would not be played and thus giving you whatever achievement much easier.
Just forget achievements! Play legit, have fun and you will get them I promise you eventually!
