I’ve spent over $100 on Halo 4, as well as purchasing the halo xbox + DLC. My question to 343i is this: Where are the maps I paid for?
Let’s forget the fact that you need ALL the DLC to even play Infinity Slayer, I’m curious as to why, after I spent my money on these maps, I can’t play anything but Majestic maps? What is the logic behind forcing everyone to buy the DLC to even play Infinity Slayer, just to limit the playlist? This has been going on for more than a while, and I’m starting to think 343 just wanted my money.

I thought only Majestic DLC was required in 4v4 infinity slayer? is that not the case?
Only Majestic is required to play IS and it’s only a limited time thing to see if it would be an option to help with the DLC issue. DLC is in other playlists but every player has to have the maps for them to come up. The problem is there isn’t enough players with the DLC. To increase the chances of getting DLC in the other playlists party up with as many people that have the maps as you can.
My game wouldn’t let me play after I deleted Majestic and Crimson in order get a few Castle MP achievements, Requiring DLC of ANY kind in order to play a regular playlist is not only unfair to the customer who BOUGHT THE GAME, but a slap in the face to an already low population. I don’t know if you only need Majestic to play IS, but regardless, I’m pissed because I haven’t heard a word from anybody representing 343 or this site about what the “plan” is (if there is one).
That’s fine and dandy, but this “experiment” doesn’t need to last as long as it has, I want to play the maps I PAID FOR. I refuse to accept there’s NO WAY 343 could include these maps in the game some other way. How does a company whose main job is to pay attention to Halo let this happen as if this was unexpected? There has been plenty of feedback from the community since the game came out, these “experiments” could just as easily be done online.
It hasn’t even been 2 weeks yet. I get it, your mad but it won’t fix the issue. I get crimson maps in BTB occasionally. More would be better but it’s not like Halo 4 is the first Halo game to have this problem. Reach had it and Halo 3 has playlist restrictions. Maybe we’ll end up going back to a rotational DLC playlist for all 200 people that play it. You seem to have missed those when they were in MM the last few months.
Try reading the weekly updates from time to time. They acknowledged the DLC issue a couple weeks ago and stated they are looking at different ways to solve it hence IS restriction. Personally I wouldn’t mind if they just rotate what playlist is restricted every other week. I’m not a fan of DLC only playlists because I don’t want to play CTF on map X or extraction on map XX.
Yeah I did miss that. I’m frustrated because it doesn’t make any sense to me. Halo 3 and reach both had bigger populations than this game does. Does this statement make sense: You can buy this nice DLC we made, but can only access 30% of it for an undetermined amount of time, until we randomly announce otherwise.

The DLC maps ARE integrated into all other playlists except Grifball and Flood (last I checked). The fact that you’re not getting them as voting options is because you are playing with at least 1 person in the lobby who has no DLC. This is something that is beyond 343’s control. They can’t make people buy the DLC if they don’t want it.
Also I take it you are searching in matchmaking alone, which reduces the chance of finding players with DLC. The best way is to get together with a team of people who have the DLC or prefer players who do. The more DLC owners you have in your lobby, the more likely to find DLC maps when you search.

They are, but extreme low population of DLC’s buyers men that there are low chance of playing that maps…

Correct, and there lies the problem. Not enough people with the maps. There really isn’t a solution to that.

Because only the Majestic map pack is in Infinity slayer since its a 4v4 playlist and Majestics maps are made for 4v4. The others aren’t in the Infinity Slayer playlist since they are BTB/Objective based large sized maps for 6v6 to 8v8 game types.
i have play so far on the Infinity Slayer play list this maps.
majestic dlc all 3 maps,buleye dlc pitfall and vertigo,crimson dlc Harvest,castle dlc Daybreak. what for maps i have miss in the play list each time:castle dlc Outcast and Perdition maps.
and the only play list where i can play on the Shatter and Wreckage from crimson dlc pack is big team battle.
