So I was stupid enough the buy the season pass for the DLC maps.
And now that I’ve played 12 matches without even seeing one of the DLC in voting rotation, I have to say I feel that I’ve been ripped off. And the fact that the Crimson playlist is the only DLC related playlist available is weird, considering it’s for the oldest DLC map-pack.
Is there any way around this?
And do anyone know how to contact 343? I want to send a complaint about this (even though I’m normally not the type to do such a thing). But I really feel like I’ve wasted my hard-earned money on this.
Right now they are focusing on the Global Championship , when it’s over , they will go back to a regular update schedule .
They already said that they have things planned after the Championship so don’t worry .
The DLCs are very good , sucks that they barely appear due to people not getting them.
I think that they should rotate the Map Pack Playlist EVERY week , starting with Crimson , Majestic , Castle and the soon to be Bullseye DLC(August 20th) .
Edit : I think they should(if possible) make the War Games Map Pass 50% off during the first week of the Champions Bundle(August 20th) . That should give people a reason in getting it .

I’m not too sure how it works , but as far as I know , we’re now on Week 4 which gives a good playlist and some good gametypes(FFA based)
Next week will be Legendary Rumble , which should be the last week .
After said week , the Finals will happen at PAX Prime in Seattle(August 30th I think)
So pretty much , there’s still 2-3 weeks to go.
Edit: Though they can still give some updates every Monday , like they’ve been doing since the Championship started.

The DLC playlists rotate monthly. As you can see, the DLC playlist has very little players, that’s been the case for every DLC playlist since Halo: Reach and there’d be no change this time round, so instead of having one DLC playlist with all the maps (which wouldn’t work because they differ hugely in size), they decided it’d be best to rotate them on a monthly basis.
I do agree with what another person has mentioned though, they need to rotate more commonly, I’d say every two weeks would be best.
Finally, best way to contact 343i is through the forums and of course, give feedback on what you think they should do with the DLC playlist situation.
Three weeks, and I yet to play a single map from the Castle Map Pack and Majestic Map Pack.
This is seriously ridiculous.
The DLC maps will only come up when everybody in the MM party has the DLC.

The DLC map playlist is gone now, this is pathetic, only about 80-150 people were on that 24/7 but the DLC playlist was not so good anyway, it only had 3 maps, they needed one with all the DLC maps. They should have an option that you can fill in to only be matched with DLC players and only DLC maps would be voted on in most playlists except flood/griff ball.
Feel the same way mate… we need WEEKLY DLC playlists, not MONTHY…
Otherwise, Ima go to the better business bureau about this problem >:(

The DLC should be completely available at all times for the players who purchased it.
Now that Regicide is put in Rumble Pit and Legendary Slayer is going in IS 343i should merge BTIS and Skirmish to be Big Team Battle. Then we would have a bunch of room for two permanent DLC playlists:
Squad DLC- 5v5
Majestic Pack, Bullseye Pack, Harvest, Daybreak, and Forge Island variants. Mix of Slayer and Objective gametypes. (Majestic Pack, Bullseye Pack, and Forge Island required)
BTB DLC- 8v8
Crimson Pack, Castle Pack, and Forge Island variants. Mix of Slayer and Objective gametypes. (Crimson Pack, Castle Pack, and Forge Island required)

They could have one DLC play list, but it wouldn’t work real well.
The first issue is there are now 4 DLC packs (Crimson, Majestic, Castle and Global). So if I only bought Crimson and you only bought Global Champions, we could never play together. That limits the number of teams that can be formed, based on what DLC they own. And frankly, other than us fools (that’s me and the OP) that bought the Limited Edition version, very few people have all the DLC packs.
Secondly, some Maps are too small (i.e. Landfall, Monolith, Skyline) to have 8x8 and others (i.e. Wreckage, Harvest, Shatter) are much to big for 4x4 play.
So you need a minimum of two 2 DLC Play lists, one for Big Team (8x8) and then one Smaller Team (4x4) and then have appropriate maps from the DLC packs for them. This doesn’t address the first issue at all, so one will just have to hope for the best.
I know for a fact I will never buy the Global Championship or any other DLC, simply because of how 343 bungled the whole availability thing. If I buy content I freaking better be able to play it. WHEN I WANT TO - Not at 343’s “whim”. And then this last issue where the armour can’t be used in Spartan Ops has completely PO’d people off - mainly because they bought it and expected to use the armour / skins etc in Spartan Ops - and 343 never stated they can’t.
They should just make it like Battlefield 3 where you can select what gametype AND map you would like to play beforehand, and then you would start the matchmaking. Sadly, that’s pretty impossible. One can dream though!
