First I would like to say, 343 is doing a great job with Halo. I have been playing Halo from the very first Xbox. But I hear people crying about a lot of stuff with Halo 5. And all I can say is please stop. Think about it people. They are still giving us ton of free content at no cost. Just look what has happened to the Call Of Duty stuff. And look at Destiny. If you are a year one player form Destiny, You are getting srewd from that game. trust me I know, I have started in year one in Destiny and they just keep coming out with a new verison everytime new dlc comes out for it. To wear you can get the whole thing for $60.00 plus the new dlc to come with it. If I was to bye the rise of iron dlc, I would be speading $200.00 just in that game. Due to being a year one guy. But now you can get it for just $60.00… What the hell do you call that? I think for as long as Halo has been out. It has always been a fun game. It has never lost that touch. They could have put a price on dlc at $14.99 like C.O.D… So what is everyone think about that? Let me know your thoughts on it…

My most sincere condolences to ever getting good games. The shocking increase of such blind people will on further guarantee more crappy game development from this industry and any other.

What I am trying to really say is look at the big picture. Look how many game compeys have come to coming out with the same game every year like call of duty and charging you 14.99 for each map pack. a lot of times in that map pack they will add a old map just redesigened. But still look at Halo giving you what is it now 9 free dlc’s. As along time gamer. I feel that some compey’s are getting to greedy… At least Halo is still one of those games that you are still getting free content and it is still just a down to earth fun game to play.
Do still have to say fair play to 343i for continuing with free updates. Interestingly I got destiny year 1 and got the first two expansions and then lost interest in buying the game again.

The content we got was unfinished and 343 could not add it at launch. I consider 343/Microsoft as one of greedy companies out there. Also, the updates are not free to everyone, there are people who paid for it via micro-transaction. To them, it is not free.

And look at what those dlc included?! Garbage maps! I think 90% of the community would love to have old maps back in the game and I will even go on a limb here and say they would might even pay for them. I know I would. The haven remake is the only promising thing I have seen be released in a dlc so far. Sure I get the whole free idea but when free is going to equal crap then we have a problem.

What ‘blind 343 fan boy’, people can be fanboys/fangirls to what they want.
And no, i’m not defending 343 but people can like what they want.
If one guy kicked me in the nuts, then another guy laughed in my face, I wouldn’t go round saying “I’m glad that one guy laughed in my face”.
Both are insults, neither are ok.
I pre-ordered Destiny, with the season pass, for a lot of money. When they started screwing us over I said “Nope, you’ve had my money, you aren’t having any more” So I stopped playing. I’ve not paid any money towards the REQs, but the DLC of Halo 5, free or not, just isn’t worth playing. So I stopped playing. Halo 5’s “DLC” was not sellable. That’s why they didn’t try to sell it you in the first place.
Compare that to Gears of War 4. All the DLC is playable for everybody in Matchmaking, but Coalition and even MS think the DLC is going to be of a sufficient quality to have a price tag (for those who want to actually own the content and play it in customs and stuff). It has the silly micros and whatnot but the maps are full Dev made maps, available both free and paid. That’s believing in the quality of your content AND supporting your game and the community.
Give praise where praise is due. Both Destiny and Halo 5’s DLC plan are complete messes and complete jokes. Let’s call them as such.

I don’t understand how any of that is relevant. People can like whatever they want, and I don’t see how he/she implied in any way that it makes whatever they like alright.

Although the dlc is free, it’s just releasing content that should have been in the game since day 1 and just branding it as “free dlc” which is very lazy and it killed of the majority of halo 5s population very quickly due to a huge lack of content at launch.
I see it this way:
It should have been in the game in the first place, but at least 343 didn’t make us pay for it as paid DLC.
Free DLC is great and all, but how much of it is stuff we actually want or need? Majority of it is reskins and useless weapon variants to bloat the REQ system to add the illusion of depth.
Still waiting on a developer made BTB map, actual social playlists, the list goes on.

I want more weapons and vehicles and variants.
We got maps, arena, warzone and warzone assault.
And overgrowth’s pretty fun. Weapon placement wasn’t great at first but now its fine.
I’m glad it’s free.

The maps were either remixes or they were bad (Arena), or blocked off portions (WZA).
The weapon variants are completely pointless for people who don’t play WZ, and just take up space.
343i is too, if they charged for this only a handful of foolish people would buy it.
Surprise, surprise, Infection was one of their “DLC’s”, and Action Sack took 10 months.
This company is pathetic.
