I’m sure this thread has been made before, but Waypoint lags my computer to the extent that an Adult website spam window would be jealous of. Anywhoo, I don’t want this to sound like a hate message to 343, I really appreciate how you’re trying to fix Halo. I just don’t understand how I have the season pass and never see any DLC in matchmaking. Would it be possible to bring back the H3 format where people that have DLC get put together, and people that don’t have DLC get matched together? Sorry if people get offended by this, I spent money on a season pass for all these DLC maps, and all I get in matchmaking are forge maps and original maps. Sure, there is a DLC playlist, but the population is so low that it’s almost a meme in the Halo community. No one wants to play 3-4 maps over, and over, and over. That being said that is my experience in matchmaking, 3 original maps, 4 forge maps, 1-50 chance of getting a DLC map in my choices. That being said, before anyone attempts to rebuttal “do the people you play with have the DLC?” Yes, all of them do, unfortunately be it bad luck or poo draw, we always find the peeps that don’t have it.
I read the thread title, and before I even opened it, just chuckled with a “nope”.
On topic, however, it is a problem that is discussed semi-frequently around here. I, too, got the map pass with my copy of H4 and have hardly seen any playtime on those maps. And you’re right. Majestic Team DLC sucks. Even Reach had terrible matchmaking for DLC, but I remember seeing it a tad more often.
I know they’re planning on rotating the DLC playlists. Planning. Hopefully that’ll come to pass and make our lives a bit easier.
I totally agree, the DLC maps never come up in normal playlists, no wonder people are betting bored with the multiplayer and moving on to other games. Trying to get a map specific achievement such as “Bigfoot” is just plain stupid now. Nice job in removing the crimson playlist 343 “Sarcastic slow clap”… Nice Job!
