Please make the DLC required to play in Matchmaking. It’s free now, so population won’t be an issue. With the exception of Anniversary, the DLC’s don’t have dedicated playlists. And even then you can’t get all the Anniversary achievements in the Anniversary playlist. Only when everybody in the lobby has it, will the DLC maps go on. I guarentee most people don’t even know the DLC is free because it’s not immediately obvious. Just add some sort of prompt or announcement in-game that says this. There’s some seriously awesome maps in the DLC’s and it’s a shame we can’t play them in Matchmaking very often.
I agree with you, I bought all the expansion packs only to have the associated maps go to waste after a couple months.
Apparently 343 has created a legacy team for the older halo games but I strongly doubt they will make any changes to reach, a game handed off to them by bungie. It’s a shame because this game is far superior to anything 343 has since mustered but that’s the way it’s going to be. Our only option is to spread the word ourselves; the “forward unto dawn” and “August update” screens are never going to change unfortunately. Such a simple thing too…
