This is an idea but knowing all future DLC will be free except micro-transactions (REQs) I honestly think emotes would be a cool idea to be in the works and for Halo 6. If there is already a thread for this please show me link as I would love to see more free update ideas like this. Anyway here are the ideas.
(Emotes will only be purchasable with REQ points not actual money)

Fistbump - Ever want to communicate happy success after caping a stronghold, Base in Warzone or you and a fellow spartan teaming up on a enemy? Fist yo man and show that Spartan bro love.
High five - A bold statement yet generic way of success. To make things interesting you can pull away if your fellow spartan is a slow poke.
Who farted? - Whoever smelt it, delt it. Use the automated fan system for toxic gas removal, yes you your hand genius.
Twerk - Awkward dance move? Or a perfect distraction to a weary enemy spartan.
Dab - Pipe it up, pipe it up, pipe it up!
No - NOOOOOOOO!, congrats Spartan you passed drama class.
Yes - YESSSSSSS!, you got a fire REQ pack opening.
Come at me - Only a brave spartan would face you after such a pose, that or they want a desperate kill while you emote.
Sad - And to believe you were one kill away from an Unfrigginbelievable spree medal.
Happy - Good thing you have a helmet on, nobody wants to see the face only a mother can love.
No. This a FPS game ffs… Not Facebook or MySpace or Instagram or any other social media nonsense.

No, this shouldn’t be implemented. It would be a waste of resources. Star Wars Battlefront did this and it was a waste, no one even uses the emotes. It would hinder the gameplay as well. If you need to run for power weapons and you go team mates using emotes, you prob won’t get those power weapons.

Well after thinking how about only among friends in your fireteam party? Any thoughts? And maybe after it shows the entire team at the end of arena match as there is no point in Warzone

There was a thread with eerily similar suggestions and wording, which I commented on, but is no longer in my previous posts… Odd. However I will reiterate that this is a terrible idea. 1. We don’t have a free button for this. 2. There is no reason to stop moving into battle to do some weird motion. 3. Halo is a shooter. You move and you shoot things. There is no bromance things going on. If you want to tell someone they had a nice kill or you appreciate the help, use a mic

While it’s an interesting concept, I do have to take their side, though. In addition to the already made points, I will add that people will probably just troll this to absolutely no end and also that I think 343’s time might be better spent on other things.
That being said I don’t think it’s as terrible as people are saying. I really think it’s kinda neat. But again, impractical and not really important enough to merit an update. Thanks for your well-thought-out post, though! Nice to see threads that aren’t just rants on occasion.
This thread is making me cringe. But seriously though I don’t think that’s worth it. Destiny and battlefront are bad games. Halo does not need to leech ideas from bad games.

It was a stupid gimmick in Destiny used to peddle DLC. It would be a stupid gimmick used to peddle microtransactions and bloat the REQ system even further here. A resounding “No” from me.

Lol you’re not gonna get much support or sympathy here I think. Emotes don’t belong in halo.
Just use the game’s built-in -Yoink!- emote and you’re all set.

I can see this thread becoming an anti destiny thread but hey whatever, as a response to this, at least halos versions are way more balanced than destiny’s iterations, (shoulder charge needs some tweaking)
Anyway to the OP, don’t really thin its a good idea unless they added a social hub which should not even be implemented. It is a waste of resources, lets just stick with assassinations as a form of emote.
