I can’t begin to express how getting these last few achievements has been, I’m still not even there! It’s been months since the Anniversary Map Pack has been released and I can never seem to find the right game, even when I play Squad DLC - which apparently is being retired in the next playlist update!!
Therefor I’ve made this poll to create a DLC only playlist, made specifically for getting those last few pesky achievements and would only include map/gametypes that have the map and gametype combination required to get the achievements. It would be something like this.
DLC
Anniversary
Play a variety of slayer, Objective and Infection game modes.
Defiant
Play a variety of slayer, Objective and Infection game modes.
Noble
Play a variety of Slayer and Objective game modes.
I realize this playlist wouldn’t be the most popular playlist out there (Squad DLC has around 100 players at the best if times)but It’s not there to be, It’s there for people to get the achievements.

Player counts would dive off a 500ft cliff into a pool of gasoline, doing 3 backflips, 5 jacknives, 12 teabags, set itself on fire twice, and a bellyflop. Although I don’t disagree with you, the only way it would work is with a drastic reduction in DLC price.

squad dlc had enough numbers and will get way more with anniversary btb and more being removed so BRING IT BACK or require dlc on most playlists…OR JUST BRING BACK SQUAD DLC
I’ve already got 1700/1700 for Reach, but I run an Achievement Hunting weekly event for a Private group on B.net.
With the removal of the DLC playlists, how are people supposed to get their achievements?
you know, 343, there are people who are game completionists and this is pretty much giving them “the finger” in regards to their Achievement lists…
About all that the Private group has left to achieve are the DLC ones, even with a full party, the proper map/game type combo rarely ever surfaced as it was. Even if you add the DLC maps into the few playlists that remain, they won’t ever surface because you’ve skewed the queue in the regular play lists in favor of non-DLC maps.
ANd no one can tell me that that isn’t true. DLC maps (thus being able to actually try for an achievement never roll around except for rarely in any other play lists except for the DLC specific play lists.
How do we plan to rectify this issue, 343? Or are we just going to say “too bad, so sad” to the people who haven’t been able to get these achievements but still very much want to try?

Not true for me. When I did my achievement party and we searched in normal team slayer for the “Paper Beats Rock” achievement we got a Defiant map first time around. We even went into team objective to get “Don’t touch that” and 90% of the time we got that that one defiant map Condemned I think it’s called as all 3 of the voting choices. The only issue we had was getting 1 flag.

Getting the right map-game type combo is almost impossible as it is. Now should they add the DLC maps in with the few play lists that are left… those maps will almost never come around.
The chance of getting the right combo will be even less, and even if you land the perfect map-game type combo, do you really think that the regular Halo populace is going to vote for it?
Even if they choose 1 Flag CTF, how likely do you think the odds are of getting the “Don’t Touch That!” Achievement unless you are running a full party?
Most people who need the DLC specific achievo’s are now screwed.

The maps already appear if everyone has the DLC in the lobby. They also appear at a higher rate than normal maps.
As for getting the achievements like “Don’t touch that,” yeah you need a full party of people that have a gentleman’s agreement. As long as you find enough people to fill up a lobby before going into matchmaking it’s not that big of an issue getting the achievements.
