Just got Halo 4 yesterday, and returned it after about 4 hours of gameplay.
If I wanted call of duty, I would have bought call of duty,
I wouldn’t have bought the game with halo in the title.
Now can someone please explain to me why I still ended up with Call of duty?
Custom loadouts, perks, killstreaks.
Those have absolutely nothing to do with halo at all. So why are they there? Are they trying to appeal to the CoD fans? Are they just brats who wanted a halo/cod hybrid? Are they intentionally trying to ruin the game?
That’s all i can think of, because i find it hard to believe that someone at 343, supposedly professional game developers, would have thought this -Yoink- up, and actually thought it was a good idea to include it in the game.
Now, I don’t mind a little change of gameplay. When Reach came out, I was put off a little with what they changed, but it wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t anything major.
And I just got used to it after a few days, and I really enjoyed the game.
But 343 took it too far with Halo 4.
343 has changed far too much for it to bear any resemblence to the halo I used to play.
Halo 4 had so much potential (and still does), and I was honestly excited when I heard that someone was picking up where Bungie left off.
But after playing Halo 4, and seeing what direction they took with it,
I was ashamed at what they’ve done.
As far as im concerned, The series ended at Halo: Reach, Pre-343.
(Also, people (namely 343 fans) seem to think i’m really upset or something because I dislike Halo 4, which is untrue. I’m not upset or pissed off or angry in the slightest, I’m simply stating my dissappointment with Halo 4.)
Yep got the exact same issue here. Problem is I got the Halo 4 console. However I have found a deal where I can trade it in and get about $350 out of the $450 back so then I’ll buy a $299 320GB with 4 games. I know those games will keep me more entertained and aren’t CoD wannabees.
I play both Halo (which is the best game ever) and COD. I play these for different reasons. COD= fast paced custom multiplayer. Halo= skill based strategic multiplyer. Halo 4= confused Halo game that thinks it is COD. And now COD is getting futuristic trying to be Halo!!!
> I don’t see why they won’t make classic playlists for the vast majority of people who don’t like all the new crap.
Hopefully they’ll add something like that in the future. Just like Reach with the anniversary playlist. All I did on Reach was Snipers and anniversary.
Ah I see. So in order to not be viewed as a mindless sheep, I have to not have an opinion of my own and dislike every release of a new Halo game until the next installment comes out so I can hate that game and love the previous one? Sounds legit.

No, blindly agreeing with somebody and kissing their -Yoink- no matter what they do DOES make you a mindless sheep.
Yo Ranathos, try playing custom games with some of the AGL or MLG settings. Get a good 4v4 game going. Try out lockout or simplex. I promise youll see the game differently. Im not gone lie though, matchmaking right now is pretty wack. Try customs bro.
> Another sheep here. Too bad we can’t all be as all-knowing and perceptive as Ranathos. We should all learn to check with him first to see what we really like, not just we think we like.

> Okay so tell me, how am I being a mindless sheep if I genuinely like the game with having my own genuine reasons as to why? Please, enlighten me.
Because if you weren’t a sheep, you wouldn’t be playing it.

I have no idea, how hard would it be to make a ‘competitive’ playlist with br start, no ordinace or specializations, and designated spots for weapons to spawn. It is completely idiotic, the playlists are whats killing this game.
