What’s your guys thoughts on a Disruption Bomb ability similar to what was in Halo Wars being added into the leader powers for Halo Wars 2 to the UNCS Leaders?
I feel like with the way leader powers have evolved into significantly game changing abilities that we should have some kind of secondary defense against things like Glassing beam and Eradication beam from wiping out your entire army without the enemy ever really having to fight you with an army. (This topic is for game modes outside of Blitz)
Its somewhat frustrating and I can’t help but feel helpless when my entire army gets wiped by a glassing beam or eradication beam. Especially when there are multiple Covenant Leaders in the game and if I manage to survive one, I get hit with another one of those powers that completely wipes me out.
Granted I understand there is a meta to how the game is now and trying to bait out the enemy into using those powers, but I feel like there currently isn’t a very effective way to deal with those highly destructive abilities outside if just rebuilding my army as fast as I can before the cool down is up on the enemies leader power.
I feel like it would be more interesting and require a little more skill if I could anticipate and make the choice to drop a disruption bomb in the area where my army is and force the enemy to fight me with an army rather than spam leader powers, (especially from multiple people)
What are your thoughts? Do you think having a Disruption Bomb ability would make the game play more interesting?
I think they should add two leaders, one for each side, that just has all the old powers (except ODST drop because spam)

I agree that there should be one for sure. It would be awesome
I’ve come to actually like the idea of not having a disruption bomb.
Having mechanics that limit a players actions is bad design.
