I’ve never played it but I’ve heard good things. It’s downloading now. I was curious as to what you guys thought. It’s Bethesda, so I think I know what I’m getting myself into. I’m digging the Steam Punk, early 20th century vibe … reminds me of a darker Bioshock Infinite.

Story is weak, graphics are bad (same year as H4) BUT the gameplay is solid it is a better theif game then that new theif game.
Its good.

For a fee of exactly $0 I’ll take it.
Pretty much what KitKat said. If you can get past the poor quality of the story and graphics, it’s a good game. I certainly enjoyed my multiple playthroughs. And the DLC is actually worth downloading as well.
Wait… where is it free? I just got on Steam to look for it but it isn’t free on there.

I have to disagree with you on this one KitKat, I loved the story and atmosphere of the game and I also really enjoyed the art style after getting used to it. I also love the freedom you have in approaching your missions, I played the entire game with out killing anyone at all and I got the achievement for not being spotted the entire game.
In closing I would say that this game is in my top ten games of all time.

Top ten games of all time? that’s a big call. You’ve convinced me, $0 sounds fair, downloading now

It’s the current game in the Games with Gold program.
It’s not Bethesda, they’re just the publishers. Arkane Studios is the dev.

Graphics aren’t bad, it’s just a different art style.
I saw my friend play it and it looked great, but my Gold membership just expired right before I could pick this one up. Bummer because it’s one of the only titles in the program that I’m actually really interested in.
Use a 2 day gold to get it?
It’s pretty cool. I like to watch people sneak through without being seen and such. Requires a lot more effort!

I have some spare codes lying around, if you’re interested?
It seems interesting and it is a full game…
From what I am reading, this will be a blast.
Just got to the part where you get your mask.
Overall, I’d say it’s a pretty ‘meh’ game. The combat is a bit wonky, and the characters look weird, but the story so far is interesting. To me, it’s got the atmosphere of Bioshock, the mechanics of Skyrim, and I also get an Assassin’s Creed vibe, too. I may continue later on, but I don’t think downloading it was a bad call.

Using a two day trial wouldn’t work friends, need a full Gold membership.

Its a 7 day trial, but yeah, key word-> trial.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I’m enjoying it so far, Love the story. The dialogue makes up for the graphics
Dishonored is one of the best games I’ve played. The atmosphere, story, and gameplay is all great. Using Blink to jump around and confuse or elude guards is very satisfying. You can play either violent or stealthy, and while the violent playthrough is a lot of fun, the stealthy playthrough is very rewarding and satisfying.
I never buy DLC, but I bought all of Dishonored’s DLC. I played through the main story three times, and then I was disappointed because after getting all the achievements, there was nothing left to do and no reason to play
I would’ve kept playing if there were more achievements or other stuff to unlock.

How good is the dlc?
> How good is the dlc?
Two of the DLC packs expound upon one of the antagonists’ stories. The storyline is arguably more interesting and the abilities are slightly different (for example, using Blink stops time).
The Dunwall City Trials is a pack of non-story challenges. It’s akin to a “Challenge” or “Time Trial” mode.
