Who else is disgusted with the new forged competitive maps being trialed in that crappy playlist? Garrotte? Shutout?? Those maps look like vomit. Like literally a mother feeding her baby apple sauce and the baby throwing it up on the floor. Garrotte is terrible, way too small to be trialled on infitiy slayer. at the beggining of the match i literally spawned next to an enemy and that happened throughout the whole game. and shutout has a terrible and unoriginal name and was just horrible gameplay all around. im not even going to bother mentioning the other maps but theyre all terrible. back to reach OFFICIALLY!

I doubt that will happen i barely survived playing 2 games 1 on simplex the other on relay. Them are not bad but the game types that were used are terrible.
Garrote was actually designed for Doubles and will most likely appear in that playlist. However as Doubles is not yet released, it can make for some very close range Slayer action and a nice change of pace from the large maps.
Shutout is an attempt by a forger to remake Lockout as faithfully as possibly and he/she did a good job! If you don’t like it, well that’s a shame! It played better in Halo 2 and would be great in a classic playlist.
There are matchmaking threads by 343 where you can rate the forge maps as well, I personally like them but you are entitled to your own opinion on them.
From what I’ve seen, the general reaction to the Forge maps, even on the forums, is positive. You’re in the minority, I’m afraid. I for one am having a blast on them.

Against a good team, you will get spawned killed in garrotte. I’ve done it plenty of times with my friends. Shutout is terrible for infinity slayer but good for swat IMO, I like the classic feel with swat when I played it on Halo 2s map lockout and Halo 3s Blackout.
Despair is terrible, weapons spawn way too frequently and is way too biased to having high ground advantage. Scythe is a ok map, I only played swat on it and it’s fairly easy to spawn kill green area and blue.
Simplex on the other hand is a fantastic map, I play it all the time in MLG customs and it’s good for most game types. Relay is the only map I have not played, I heard it was decent.
I was hoping for the pit remake, it’s one of the best maps for Halo 4 IMO.
It’s a good thing the kid named -Yoink!- KING, who thinks maps should be based on how they look instead of how they play, isn’t controlling multiplayer.
I don’t think the maps are the problem. I don’t have good experiences with them because I despise infinity slayer. That’s just me… I had more of a blast playing slayer pro on lockout, in customs, with some buds.
I don’t have much options to escape from this beta, so I’ve been at Reach until they get a TU in.

If you wish to express your concerns about these maps, feel free to create a thread that does so more constructively, and in greater detail. Better yet – do it in the Matchmaking-section official threads for these maps, as they are regularly monitored by 343i.
