hi all. wonder if anyone has the same feelings about halo 4 as I do. I’m not sure about the game at all. I feel the look of the game is not as good as Reach in terms of the armour and the way the bad guy’s look, more notably the Covie’s. I feel they look like cheap knock-offs of the elites we say in Reach and cant help but feel underwhelmed. also things like weapon drops give stronger players an unfair advantage over their weaker opponents and cant help but relate this to MW2+3. Load outs achieve nothing but the same thing. maybe I’m just nostalgic but I miss the real Halo experience I thought I was purchasing and find myself not playing for weeks. this NEVER happened on Reach or Halo 3 for that matter. I preferred the idea of map control and spawn points for various power weapons and felt this made the game more even. Change for the sake of it is not good but change to evolve and make something better is great. I don’t feel like this game plays better than previous games. what do you folks think?
I thought this was a thread about grunts being too strong or so from the title.
You misleading little minx you are.
But in all. Halo 4 is still a challenge in single player and multiplayer. But just to avoid an argument. It’s their first game most of the studio was new to the experience and it’s likely going to be better in the next halo game.
I hope so mate. im not sure the whole first game thing really washes though as the had plenty of time running Reach. I just feel a sense of deflation after the previous efforts. my main gripe is the ordinance drop malarkey. I don’t think its fair at all. not picking up grenades is a pain. I don’t feel a ‘super soldier’ needs a power up to know how to pick up a frag or two! Ha!
Sad face
I don’t like it as much as the older ones. (I still love it equally just it’s not the best one)
But I still find my self playing game after game just like the next Halo because I love the story as well as everything else it has to offer.
-Yoink!- game brought a tear to my eye it did.

This entire thread is about 6 months late. Halo 4 is a piece of -Yoink- that’s been polished to appeal to the masses. Simple fact is that at GDC they mentioned they wanted to make Halo “more accessible” and how do did they pass this message on? By putting Master Chief in a -Yoinking!- wheel chair (See: This).
Not only that, it doesn’t help that over FOUR studios worked on this game and STILL couldn’t get it right. The community also TOLD these guys about the “X” and how they wanted it back. What does 343 do at Pax? Take the credit for themselves and say “they always had it planned but could never find a way to implement it”. -Yoink- 343 and screw Halo. It is now dead and will always be noobified for future cry-babies and less-skilled players.
I will agree with you on this: Ordnance and Loadouts effectively began the downfall for Halo, and 343 just threw more -Yoink- on top of -Yoink- to keep it buried.
Worst game developer ever (second to the infamous Slant Six).
