So I havn’t seen all the videos, but I have seen a number. This is very in depth and leaves me wit ha lot of questions, complaints, and hype.
I will start on a good note with the hype and go to complaints and then the questions(which maybe you guys can answer for me please).
HYPE: it looks like a great halo game, very similar to halo 3, and the overall gameplay looks fun. graphics look great, variety of weapons and AAs look nice. and from other videos I know customizable spartans will be fun. Promethean vision doesn’t look OP I am happy because I was a little worried about xray vision in halo.
COMPLAINTS: why can’t you completely scrap AL? why are you giving this shield? I can tell it is going to get annoying! people will get shot down the hall 1 bullet away from death and then they pull out the shield and walk to cover, that is going to get annoying. I hate the sounds of the guns, they all sound kind of silenced or maybe dubstep. I am not fond of many of the guns looks either, but that is a small nitpick which I can easily deal with.
Questions: what more do we know about this shield? a well placed grenade is not a good enough answer on how to beat it. How many shots with a BR or DMR before it goes down, how long will it last, how fast is the recharge, I want to know that this will not be the new AL and ruin gameplay.

They did get rid of armor lock. The Hardlight Shield is much better than Armor Lock anyway. Its nowhere near invincibility. It only lasts a few seconds, you’re exposed on all sides except the front, your speed dramatically decreases, and you lose the ability to use weapons, grenades, and melee.
It is easily overcome. Walk around it and melee, the user of the Shield can’t turn fast enough. Throw a grenade, it doesn’t protect against grenades. Or you can shoot their feet. If they crouch to cover their feet, they become even slower. It will not be the new armor lock, just a short cover from enemy fire. Not a tool making you completely invincible.

If the cons far out way the pros…why the hell is this in the game?
I know it can be used from far away and be useful, but why would you do that, I’d rather spend time getting to a good position on the map.
As it stands now, it just seems too useless to me. just my opinion. I like the idea of it though
