So i don’t played halo 5 since a lot of month… and now i played and the game is so much competitive…
the reason i say that is the gun… i am a medium good player i would say…
i use to run to get storm riffle when i was playing… and now i see in reptide , they completely remove it… in regret , they change the place it was… i was easy to get now its bad placed… fathom i don’t tested it i think… but im pretty sure it gone too…
another gun i use to like is smg… i see in coliseum he is now at a hard place… and i don’t realize the other map, but im pretty sure they do the same thing in other map…
honestly i’m not a bad player but i see myself as a medium player and its discourage me… i don’t like magnum so i was loved to use those gun… now they are gone :(…
i think pro player will be happy , but honestly i am sure he haves a lot of people like me that are discourage…
good thing he haves team swat cause i am not sure i would continue to play… please add some big map , to allow us to have a team sniper mode … and a good one
343 and bungie was the perfect mix… now 343 is only competitive and hard for a medium player
sorry i speak french so my english is pretty medium… please comment, i want to know i am not alone to think that …
A good few people don’t like strong automatic weapons in Halo. It’s a shame because while I think they need a bit of tuning, I prefer useful automatics than the peashooters from the Halo 3 era.
Halo has always required a lot of play time to be good at it. H5 is no different. H5 is definitely a game where you have to be good with ALL weapons not just one or two particular weapons.

I don’t think it’s placed badly. On Fathom, it’s placed on the submarine. For how powerful it is, they definitely needed to change its placement on the maps. Now they just need to nerf it a little bit and it would be great.
I thibk the issue for you OP is more that you don’t play it often enough to know the the changes in weapon spawns.
I’m not saying its your fault or anything. I’m just saying that it takes some getting used to I guess.
I mean if I don’t play Halo 5 in like 4 to 5 days, my first game back I will almost certainly be a the bottom of the leaderboard most games. it isn’t until a few hours later or a day of playing I start to be constant near the top.
I don’t think it’s a lack of skill on your part from what you typed up, I think it’s more to that you have been getting used to things a certain way and coming back to discover its all changed.

Back when meele was better than automatics there’s a problem.
Everytime I would get into an ar fight people would try to meele me.

(Bold) I don’t agree with that at all. I don’t think people have a problem with automatics being strong (ok maybe the SAW, as it’s ridiculously OP) what the majority have a problem with is them getting range buffs when zooming in. Take away that and I’d have no problems with any of the autos in H5. If this was done, the weapon balance in Halo 5 would be perrrrrrrfect IMO

I agree with that. I think that automatics shouldn’t have a precision headshot multiplier either. Leave that to the precision weapons in my opinion. I think the shots to kill without the headshot multiplier are perfect.
At least its not the beta, where the AR had pinpoint accuracy when aiming down the sights eh?

They haven’t removed it in Riptide, although there’s only one now. It’s in the water room, below and further back from where it used to be, just below where the BR used to spawn.

Ya, autos having headshot multiplier when shields are down I’m very mixed on. Part of me kind of likes it, but part of me doesn’t. I’m having a brain cramp at the moment (and I’m tired lol) do you only get the multiplier when zooming in?? or do you get it when you fire from the hip and his/her Shields are down as well? I think it’s dumb if you only get it while zooming.
Either way, I’d be 100% fine if they lost it all together. Autos should destroy at close range ONLY, but in Halo 5 they do at Close/Mid range which isn’t right IMO. Ya the beta was INSANE! I remember going to my friend’s house and playing it and just thinking holy crap this better get changed or the AR is going to be the most overpowered weapon in the game lol
Like you said, you still need to “test it”, in other words just go into custom games and learn where the new weapon placements are. You will find your weapons.
But like a previous post said you need to be good with all the weapons to stay competitive and have fun.
While the multiplayer in Halo 5 was amazing good, I say the lack of proper social playlists (Like a social Slayer playlist with no quit penalty and JIP) seriously harmed the game and put off a lot of people feeling pressured to play competitively. Social playlists are a must have, this thread is evidence enough of that
thanks for all the answer , i appreciate it…
first i will say , its true i have to play a lot of game to just be setted with the change of emplacement of weapon…
but before in reptide , you appear and it was right in your face sometime… now if i understand well , you have to go down and you lost time (riptide)… in coliseum the SAW was easy to get… now its like in the middle down of each base, longer to get…
i will be honest… its normal they change the emplacement of those weapon because they are really good… but as a medium player , i was liking that cause its giving me a chance to win more… i see this change to make the game more balanced … i mean if i was a really good player, i would not like to see people using this gun so easily…
now you have to walk more to reach them and its more balanced… i understand why they change it, but for medium player , its make the game a lot harder… anyway i guess i will deal with that.
