Theres a few uncollectible or discontinued items in Halo 5, even if Halo Infinite is coming out next or this year I feel that the discontinued unlockables should be removed from the game permenantly, e.g: Challenger, Librarian. People that wish to not loose said items if they have the items unlocked, could wait for Infinite or simply deal with it.
Why? Because you can’t get them? Hope you have a better reason than that.

In all the ridiculous posts I have seen on this site. This ranks in the top 3, why should others (like me) have their unlocks taken away from them just because someone else didn’t get it. You had your chance to get it and you missed it so you should deal with it instead of crying about.

How about you just deal with the fact that you missed out and get over it.
I never had the chance to obtain the Challenger armor or the Librarian emblem in the first place. I can honestly care less about them anyways.
You can say all you want about “being a baby” and stuff like that, but. What’s the point in the items? Challenger was just a skin that was only collectible through the Halo Championship, I don’t care if you think the post is ridiculous, If you hate the post, move on, and ignore it.

If it was “just a skin” to you, then what was the point of making a big deal out of it?

You have yet to explain why certain items should be removed.
Also why would the devs ever bother wasting time removing the items you mentioned when they could be refining H5 or working on infinite?

It doesnt take a genius to work out why Challenger exists, it is in the game to promote HCS 2016, provide an incentive to watch said HCS and to give a underappreciated armour set some attention.
So I propose to you a question, seeing as you are so against time gated items, what harm does challenger present to the game? If anything it promoted it in a minor way.
They’re not gonna take things away from people that they unlocked just because others didn’t get it. That really doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint. A better option would be to make those things available again in special REQ packs for a limited time.

Nobody has said anything toxic here except, ironically, you with this quoted post. Here’s the thing, in the real world, people disagree with each-other, that’s not toxic, that’s normal. Implying that people can’t disagree with you or else they are being toxic is not normal, and IS toxic behavior. Check yourself.
To the original point. there’s really no valid reason to take away anything people have earned in the game. As others have said, you didn’t get a chance to get the items in question, neither did I, however, I’m happy for those who did because that’s what good people do, they are happy for other people’s achievements. 343 may at some point in the future make these items available, maybe in the same way recon armor was made available in Halo 3, or through req pack unlocks, and that’s a much better way of going about it, but at the end of the day, this is just a game, and those unlocks don’t really mean anything in the real world anyway.
