So my sister and her boyfriend both have their own xbox ones, and I also have my own. We are all staying in the same house right now, and used to always be able to play matchmaking together as a party on both MCC and Halo 5. For the last few months we’ve noticed that we usually can only get a couple of games in before we start having frequent disconnects as matchmaking games start to load. Usually either one of us or two of us will disconnect, and then we have to back out, re-invite each other, and search again only to find a game and then as it’s loading we disconnect again. It’s extremely frustrating and is ruining the experience for us because it’s making it nearly impossible for us to search as a group. To add more perspective, we can all search solo just fine with no disconnects while all playing at the same time, be it Halo games or any other online games, so I don’t think it’s a wi-fi/bandwidth issue. And like I mentioned, we usually can get a couple of games in flawlessly when we first start playing. But once the issue starts it’s rare we can stay connected all the way through the matchmaking process. None of us can make any sense of what is causing this to happen. My only thought is maybe it has something to do with us all searching from the same IP and it causes some sort of error to where it’ll only allow one of us to connect to the game. But even that doesn’t make any sense because we can always get a few games in with zero issues before it starts happening. Any help would be much appreciated, we want to get this figured out so we can start playing as a group again. It’s such a nice hobby during these times but this issue is really making things difficult. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Any resolution to this? My sister and her husband are still having this issue, but on xbox and pc in their house.
