Note: For arena play, not warzone or BTB
I have encountered many occurrences where i have been removed from a game of halo be it my internet to accidentally (not even touching my xbox button) powering down my xbox. Im not the only one who has encountered disconnection problems or things that may happen to remove me from a game and i also see many people leave in games.
I think it would be in the best interest to have a similar feature that League of legends uses, to incorporate a reconnection option, epically if it is for arena. This would allow teams to gain back their lost players and for those who didn’t mean to leave or wanted to leave.
If followed closely to League of legends, it could be enforced where players have to rejoin a game they have left or wait until its over. This would also stop or reduce people from quitting games as they are incapacitated from playing any other multilayer feature in halo 5. (unless custom games or forge)
This also opens up and allows us to dish out disciplinary action easier also to those who quit because they are sore losers. Want me to elaborate? Well, If the player fails to rejoin the current session in progress and the game ends without the player reconnecting, this to me shows (most than likely) intent to quit and if there if there is a pattern of quits based on recurrences of quitting AND not rejoining; This enables the banning system to more accurately target the people who are guilty or purposely leaving than those who accidentally leave like me 
Obviously if the person didn’t rejoin doesn’t mean they should suffer an immediate punishment because anything could of happened, but if there is a pattern like stated before then obviously it’s them and something didn’t happen.
WOULD LOVE SOME FEEDBACK AND THOUGHTS AND IF PEOPLE WOULD AGREE WITH THIS SYSTEM.
If someone quits on my team i want that slot to be filled by anyone. Not waiting for some quitter to get back online. But i like the idea that they cannot join any other game if there is still a slot available on the one they quit. Although if they are being a -Yoink- about it, then maybe having them back on the team would just make a negative impact.
All in all, the idea will not work.

Im on about arena games, it screws you over. Other people cant fill the spot in arena. It makes sense for competitive play. Once you start you must finish.
I agree with this, I definitely would like this feature on 4v4 Arena, I could understand being kicked out of a warzone game and someone taking my spot, same with BTB, but when it is a 4v4 Arena game and no one is coming to fill in my spot it is pretty terrible, I think a lot of people would benefit from this, and not being able to start a match until that one is over would work as a temporal ban, furthermore decreasing the appeal of quitting on purpose.

People can’t fill arena so it wouldnt happen

I didn’t know arena didn’t fill in the spots once a player left. I usually play BTB and spaces always seem to get filled. I guess they dont want other people joining mid way because its ranked. That kinda makes sense.

Precisely why and this system works with that. It makes the original player rejoin and offers a temp ban for those who mess around, don’t take it seriously or try fix their scores by leaving. It also offers a rejoin for those who didn’t mean to leave,who take it seriously and gives more structure and seriousness to arena’s competitive play.
Would it be so hard for this to be implemented? I think its a great idea and a lot of people would want this. Would be a shame if this was just swept under the rug 343… 343! THREE FOUR THREE. . . THR33 4 FWEEE

It would be a feature that wouldn’t be hard to add and shouldn’t upset people. It will defo work

If so, then you’re off the leash. But if your team is undermanned you either have to go back and lend them a hand or wait till the fight’s over. Even a -Yoink- player is enough to provide cover fire.
This and the white flag option together would be nice for keeping matches from becoming one sided…

Random people cannot fill your space in arena so that person must rejoin or faces a worse punishment than the wait until the game is over. But yes, it is better to have a full team and this would help improve the games and the ranking and the stats and the accuracy of bans etc
