In the middle of online multiplayer games (ranked 3v3), I am often abruptly returned to the Halo Wars 2 Main menu with the following statement: “Disconnected From Online Services”. I reconnect instantaneously after, but at that point, I am already out of the match, leaving my friends with a 2v3. This occurs at all points in the game, early, mid and late game… I am the only person of my team that faces this issue. Furthermore, I never disconnect from Xbox live party chat. I play various other online games (PUBG, Halo 5, Rainbow 6, etc.) and halo wars 2 is the only game that throws these errors. My game doesn’t “crash” either. This recurring issue tends to be an issue with Halo wars 2 servers rather than xbox live servers.
Is there anything I can do to solve this issue? I’ve tried a wired and wireless connection. This occurs on both my Xbox one X and my Series X. I have also played both from an internal hard drive + external hard drive. The game is currently downloaded to my internal drive. I still face issues with all various solution cases. This has been going on for months now.

HW2 is quite broken, so unfortunately nothing you can do if you have already reviewed your connection settings (open NAT, port forwarding, etc.).
Yeah this is happening to me very often as well and I want to play ranked and i keep dc for 3 sec and that is enough to kick me out the match. Please make a reconnect mechanic. Thank you!

<p data-prewrap=“true”>I have a new Series S and an ethernet cord and never have any problems with other games even Apex which is notorious for disconnects. I wouldn’t suggest anyone try playing halo wars 2 unless you like getting 15 minutes into a good match just to disconnect and have your team mates report you. Honestly, halo wars 1 is all round a much more solid game just play that instead, plus there’s no pay wall to enjoy HW1.
